I don't see the point of that. Its like suiciding...only in a slow way. Whenever I smell it I start covering up my mouth and nose because I don't want lung cancer...I know nobody does. If people think its just to get them cool or popular...they should think again. I've heard that cigarettes hold an addictive drug and could make people smoke for years, I'm happy I don't smoke. If I did I wouldn't be here asking this question because I would be out smoking cigarettes.

okay well it started a month ago. I grew a zit on my nose and I've tryed oxy, ckean and clear, clinique, and top care. The zit is still there. People at school say to pop it, but I can't because it's been there for about a month. It's red and notciable. do you know a zit cream or treatment i could use to get rid of it fast?

My father went into a coma yesterday because he drank himself to the point where his liver shut down. He lives in another state but when the police found him they described to me that he was very yellow. He had to know that he was sick.

I know it is a disease, but if you know your are sick most people go to the doctor. I just wondered why. Why did he do that and why do people who are alcoholics can't stop drinking. I know some make the choice to stop but others "can't".

For my biology project on Dwarfism we need to define the genetic cause (i.e. dominant, recessive, sex-linked, codominance, or not known). Does anyone know what it is?? We also have to have a punnet square of a cross between someone with the disorder and a heterozygous individual, if anyone knows how to do that.. feel free to add.

So here's my story...

about 16 months ago I lost my virginity. I actually had a homosexual experience to start things off. I really freaked out about everything after developing tonsillitis about 2 days after this. There were no fluids involved anywhere with the "experience". I had constant bouts with tonsillitis on and off for almost a year until I finally had my tonsils removed due to the development of sleep apnea and tonsil stones in July of this year. Since my first bout with tonsillitis, I've had a lymph node that has been noticeable in my neck. This has lasted from the first bout with tonsil issues, through my tonsil removal, etc. It's not big (maybe 1/2 - 1 CM in diameter).

About 2 months ago I took a trip to Scandinavia. When I returned I was fairly ill. I was sore, had an itchy throat, watery eyes, overall unwellness. Oh, and I have a small amount of tonsil tissue that was left over from my tonsillectomy which has gotten enflamed again, and has not gone down since.

I'm very worried about this surgery but told that without it, the warts could become cancerous. I am also feeling the shame and embarassment that I'm sure most go through although I am told around 60% of men have this virus but do not know it. My genital warts have been treated with freezing off and Aldara cream unsuccessfully for 3 yrs.. I had no idea of the Anal warts. Thought I had hemmorroids! I'm scared, feel alone, ashamed, and wondering if I am making the right decision with general anesthesia surgery scheduled for Tues. the 13th Nov. I also live alone and am fearful of bleeding or the severe pain I might be in... Can anyone with experience with this help me with either feeling better about the surgery or let me know that there is life after this...I'm told the virus will remain in my body for life..This devastates me! I am not promiscuous.. I know exactly who I got them from and have extreme anger towards this person..Help!

My Uncle passed away from a long battle of cancer and in a way i am relieved because he is not longer suffering and sad at the same time for the loss in my family. This is my moms brother and he is the 2nd one in our family to die of cancer in 8 months, the other one was another uncle who had suffered for 2 yrs with lung cancer also my moms brother. I didn't attend the other funeral either due to lack of funds to travel. This time my 2 yr old twins are ill(bronchitis) so i feel as if i cannot take the chance on traveling with them by myself. Am i wrong for not going, for feeling like i do i would rather remember him the healthy happy man i knew than the one who dwindled to 150lbs and was so sick he couldn't even talk.

I've been fighting for my life for over 2 years. I was told that yet again I have cancer...again. I was told this time that it's terminal, that I had a year tops...and that dear friends was well over 2 years ago. This summer I came very close to losing this battle. All the radiation and treatment had caused a hole in my bladder. I had a very major surgery to repair, but then staff infection set in which led to me nearly losing my battle, another major surgery & a temp colostomy. I seemed to be on the ment and 3 weeks ago I started having daily seziures. The least I've had is 3 the most 13, my temp stays between 101 and 105 and they don't have a clue as to the reason.

When is enough enough? When does God say this poor girl has suffered enough and where and how do I find and get the strength to find my way through this latest setback. I don't like feeling this way, sorry for myself, but I gotta tell you I'm not supergirl either...Does anyone have any advice?

I have had no sexual experiences, never used drugs, never had a blood transfusion, and was not born with it. I have been vaccinated for hep b.

I do, however, work in a library where I sometimes process materials that could potentially have dried body fluids on them (like blood and maybe semen?). Do you think this puts me at risk for the diseases I mentioned?

i'm 19 years old, i'm an athlete, and i think i have diabetes. the past year i have been having the urge to pee atleast once or twice an hour and i am always lightheaded and in need of sitting down. lately though i have been unable to eat sugary foods because i get this feeling like i have too much sugar in me than my body can handle. also i notice that my body parts "fall asleep" a lot quicker than they use too.

i know these are all side effects of diabetes, but they can also mean other things. i'm very scared that i might have diabetes. nobody else in my family has ever had the disease.

what kind of tests does the doctor give you & can you explain what you do, not just the name of them? (sorry im very nervous... that's why i think i'm just paranoid)

We i went to the doctor a week ago tomorrow, and i got tested to see if i had a bladder infection. and i do. But this is the 4th one i have had this year. And they told me to take these pills twice a day for a week and then one pill a day for a week. then i have to go back to the doctor and see if that got rid of it or not. and if i dont the i have to get surgery. The doctor said that they stuck a tube up your pee hole , so that they can open the passage. Do you know what surgery that is called??And does it hurt? please tell me what i should know about it. Please and thank you.

I am currently on Synthroid and about to make the switch to Armour. My TSH is .7 on 100mcg of Synthroid, but I am gaining weight and am tired. My thyroid has been removed. I've been reading that on Armour, most people take about 3 grains a day and suppress their TSH to below .01 but keep there free t3 and free t4 ranges optimal. Is this accurate? Has anyone made the transition to Armour...how did it go? how much synthroid vs. armour do/did you take?

My husband went to the Ear Nose and Throat doctor to discuss options to improve his quality of sleep and lessen his snoring. The doctor wants to perform a tonsillectomy, re-set his deviated septum, and surgically trim his soft palate. We've got a second opinion scheduled for next week, but my husband is understandably nervous. Has any one else had this procedure performed? Were the results what you had hoped for? Was recovery difficult?

lol.

i'm trying to figure out, if i can't run because i can't breathe,

or if i can't breathe because i'm out of shape,

or if it's a mixture of the two.

because i don't know why,
but evertime i try to run,
i feel like a fish with no water,
or like i'm breathing in but it doesn't make a difference.

but i don't really know.
i've never had it checked out,
but it could just be that i'm out of shape.
but yea,
i donno.
i guess what i'm asking is if there's ne way to know if i do or not. or do i pretty much just need to go get it checked out. it's getting embarassing at school. especially being a senior and having every single freshman beat you. i mean come on. it shouldn't be like that. lol

?????

I'd like to hear this from someone who actually has them and is brave enough to admit it.

1. How did you find out you had it
2. What were the signs
3. How often do you have outbreaks
4. How does it effect your "social" life
5. On a scale of 1-10 how hard is it to deal with
6. Are people you tell about it supportive
7. Do you know who gave it to you
8. Are you taking medication - if so which one
9. How can you best describe living with it.
10. What do you think caused it...ie: lifestyle, unprotected sex, etc.
