lol.

i'm trying to figure out, if i can't run because i can't breathe,

or if i can't breathe because i'm out of shape,

or if it's a mixture of the two.

because i don't know why,
but evertime i try to run,
i feel like a fish with no water,
or like i'm breathing in but it doesn't make a difference.

but i don't really know.
i've never had it checked out,
but it could just be that i'm out of shape.
but yea,
i donno.
i guess what i'm asking is if there's ne way to know if i do or not. or do i pretty much just need to go get it checked out. it's getting embarassing at school. especially being a senior and having every single freshman beat you. i mean come on. it shouldn't be like that. lol

?????

Your weight could have something to do with it, but unless you are 400 pounds, you should not have that much trouble when you run. Asthma can cause you problems, not only when you exercise though. If you are only having problems when you exercise, asthma might not be the problem either.

If I were you, I would go and see your doctor to get a COMPLETE physical. Ask the doctor to do a pulmonary function test. That will help to see if you do indeed have asthma or some other respiratory problem. Other respiratory problems can cause you to have difficulty breathing. I would also ask the doctor to check your heart and do a chest x-ray. Sometimes heart problems can cause you to have trouble breathing.

Whatever the problem is, you need to see a doctor ASAP. If you are truly feeling like a fish out of water, that is not normal. Something is definitely wrong. Make sure you find out what that is. It may take more than one doctor, but keep at it until you get an answer that allows you to be able to run without issue. If it were just weight, you would also have problems from just walking any distance.

You are probably so out of shape you have this breathing problem exacerbated by your physical condition. Check with a doctor and follow his recommendations.

You probably should see a doctor so they can test you for asthma and as for being overweight just google BMI Calculator and enter all the information and it will tell you if youre overweight.

Could be a little bit of both. I'd have it checked out first, to rule out asthma.
