I had to use a public restroom and there was what looked like fresh urine on the floor. I tried my best to step over it, but I really had to go. Do you think there is any HIV or other risk from this kind of exposure?

or do they only get it by contracting it from someone else?

i think i may have a condition (i can't for the life of me spell it) that involves giving up sugar completely and introducing it back in again slowly to treat it. and i'm freaking out because i love bread, pasta, chocolate, cookies...anything sugar-y. my question is basically does anyone know of any good foods i could live off of that are 100% sugar free? (i've got rice cakes on my list...that's it.)

I have a boyfriend and i heard from at least a couple people that MY boyfriend has a STD (clymadia).
So i decided to ask him if he has it and if it was true. He told me that after he had sex with other girls he got checked.

What guys get checked? He doesnt seem the type that would.

I remember WAY before asking him that some "birdie" telling me he gave it to a 15 yr old girl (at the time my BF was 25) and he said "NO it was a 17 yr old..."

Im beginning to think he's lieing to me about the fact he has an STD.
Should i go in with him to the Doctors so i know he's ACATUALLY getting checked, just to make sure?
Or should i dump my BF and move on?

Even if I don't have diabetes, how does it explain my blurry vision? Can low blood sugar lead to diabetes?

were 1.0 which is very low, don't know why. I was told I had a panic attack, I say no. Was on Paxil for the last year for panic, I am almost off it, I am tapering I am down to 5 mg. I have watched my diet eating more potassium rich foods and have not had a problem since. Did I have a heart thing?I don't think it was panic. I think I had a panic attack because I was having a heart issue. What do you think?

Yeah, I know I need to go to the doctor, but until then, I would like your opinions. My hair is falling out. I bruise easily, sometimes I do nothing and still get bruised. Constant headache. I am tired and sleepy all the time, no matter how much I rest. I have no energy whatsoever. I sometimes run a fever for no apparent reason. Oh, and this morning, I woke up to having giant swollen lymph nodes under my chin. Does this sound like a certain type of cancer? Does this sound like anything else? Also, I have these tiny red dots under my skin on my arms and legs.

Here's the scenario: You're at a restaurant, and you've just ordered a stromboli. Everyone knows the portions are always different wherever you go.
I say you take some insulin, 5-7 units while you wait to see how big the portion is, that way the insulin has the 15-20 minutes to work while the meal is cooking, and the initial high isn't as drastic.
My friend here says you wait to see the portion size before you take any insulin that way it's only one shot.

What do you say? Am I right? How do you usually handle this situation?

She also has had diabetes, type 1 ,for over 60 years.
She takes very little insulin as she is very sensitive. She is very thin and cannot eat much.
Her doctor has told her that chemo is her only option. She is 4th stage.
I am so concerned that the chemo will kill her.

She lives with a friend who smokes and is often in the ER for diabetes related problems. He will not be any help.
I live too far away to be there daily.

Does anyone have any helpful ideas or information ? Thanks in advance.

I have lost a great deal of weight and no longer have sleep apnea issues. I can sleep without the CPAP machine, but sometimes just like to put it on anyway. I guess I am just used to it as a habit or comfort thing. How do I wean myself off of it and start going to sleep without it?

My cholesterol test came back from the doc saying my total cholesterol is 221. My triglycerides were 83 and my HDL was 61, which the doc says is good, but my LDL was 141. I eat lots of whole grains and fruits/veggies and I exercise an hour a day, 6 days a week. What can be causing the high LDL, and how can I lower it?
