i think i may have a condition (i can't for the life of me spell it) that involves giving up sugar completely and introducing it back in again slowly to treat it. and i'm freaking out because i love bread, pasta, chocolate, cookies...anything sugar-y. my question is basically does anyone know of any good foods i could live off of that are 100% sugar free? (i've got rice cakes on my list...that's it.)

i also have high cholesterol so lots of meat isn't the best for me.

Fruits and vegetables contain a type of sugar but you can eat both while you are giving up sugar.

The main thing to stay away from is any processed foods.

If you keep your diet to real foods you should feel fine in a short time.

go to Medlineplus.gov---then Health Topics---then Food & Nutrition. You should be able to find info there. You may want to look up you condition in their encyclopedia. I do not know of a diabetic diet or conditions that requires 100% sugar free.
