My blood sugar is normally between 85-105. Lately though it will drop into the 50-60 range and then within an hour or so spike to the 170 range. I am not a diabetic, but could this be? I go to the restroom quite a bit.

My son's fingers are all a little different than normal in that each finger looks like he has mallet finger (I guess) the finger tips are all curled in and so are his thumbs and they don't straighten out like normal. He was born this way, does not seem to be in any pain or anything. One day his father straightened his thumb out and I think it didn't hurt as much as it freaked my son out and then he popped it back. What is this? Is this a sign of some sort of arthritis or something?

We all know that diabetes and thyroid disorders are both endocrine diseases and frequently autoimmune. Is it common for type 1s to also develop thyroid problems? I saw my endo yesterday and while everything was just fine (office blood sugar was 114 and I use a pump), my doctor took notice of my enlarged thyroid (something I never noticed). He asked me if I had gained some weight and I told him I had gained about 7 pounds in the last 6 weeks and my doctor also saw that my skin was really dry.

Now, I have a appointment for a whole lot of blood work (mostly thyroid and vitamin levels, along with the usual metabolic panels, blood count and A1C). I was tested for thyroid problems about 12-13 years ago and while my levels were slightly out of range, they were nothing to be concerned about.

So...hmmmm. I guess I'll wait fot the bloodwork to come back and see if I need to be adding Synthroid to my daily medications. Oh well.

He had poo and many times it was together with blood.
He said he doesnt feel sick at all and the poo was not even hard to make a wound to his asshole, so why was the bleeding?
Is it a symptom of some serious illness?

I wish someone can help and provide useful information for the mean time. He'll go to the doctor soon...

we discovered our friend dead on the couch. he'd probably expired 5 hours already. his left arm with almost clenched fist suspended up to his head, other arm spread outwards. his legs were stiff forming somewhat similar to a bow legged while his feet and toes were curled and clenched together. i want to know if this is possible that he died in this position from heart attack/cardiac arrest. we are wondering why his hands were not on his chest instead were spread out wide. it looked like he froze at that position. we wanna make sure theres not foul play.
