When you go to the doctor for a urinary tract infection how do they diagnos it. Do they just take a urine sample?

My girlfriend is having sharp pains in her side right above her pelvic bone. There is no signs of swelling.


This is a repost... We tried the 2 inches from the belly button and 2 inches down push and release and no pain there. THe pain is right above the pelvic bone on her left side. It doesnt hurt for her to use the bathroom etc. Anymore advice? We are wainting on a call back from the Dr. We would go straight to the ER but her 2 babies are here.

I took some meds last year and i later read that the medication was recalled because of the damaging effects to the liver... kinda scared me so i wanna get my liver healthy again. I'm cool with taking viatmins but i'm not sure which one is good for the liver... I got like a huge jar of good fiber pills... will that do it?

I either have an ongoing infection that just won't go away, or else I am getting an infection every couple weeks. I feel like I have the flu.

Can a liver problem cause this? My liver enzymes are high. My iron is low. White blood cells are high.

ive been having problems with my ears for 2years now...they pop and crack everyday.mucus also comes out and my face swells on one side, under the ear.Ive seen an ENT and was prescribed antibiotics, over 5 different courses.Still no change..I know the problem is deep inside, an area u cant see with an otoscope.I need help..what should i do next?

Well my parnter and I are considering have sex, I mean we ALMOST already had sex but stop ourselves because ive taken only one shot of my HPV shots. They say if you had sex already that the shot wont work. So im wondering if having sex now with my boyfriend who is also a virgin like me well affect the HPV shot?

What causes sharp, brief, needle-like pain in left arm, no other sypmtoms. It feels like someone stabs me quickly 3 or 4 times in the arm. It has happened on and off, very infrequently, in the same spot- left arm on outside bone halfway between elbow and writs. Been going on for 2 yrs at least, but more frequently lately. Only in that same spot! Lately, more frequent, maybe every other day. Lasts only for a second or two. Last few weeks seems to travel up a nerve. Brief burning sensation in lower tricep. Again, very infrequent but wierd, like someone is sticking a needle in me and always in the same spot.

ok i had this red pimple right above my upper lips. today i put some toothpaste on it and a few hours ago i washed it off and scratched off some skin off the pimple. i tried to squeeze the white stuff out but nothing came out except puss. now im going to sleep and wondering if i should still put toothpaste on it over night. i want it to go away. when i put the toothpaste on the pimple it stings a bit.

i have acne obviously, and i have 6 days to cut redness/number of pimps down. what do i do? i wash 2 times a day, but that only seems to spread it. i use Tretinum or w/e cream in the blue/white tube. i wash with the purple bottle of Clean/Clear. what can i do?!!!!! HELP 6 days!! HELP

I usually have my stomach growl when i dont eat enough and if i eat a lot i have to use the bathroom and sometimes i become constipated regularly. why is that?

The sun and hot weather make me break out. Ive been trying to drink lots of water and orange juice and wash my face 2-3 times a day with a mecidated wash.
Its still really break-outy.
