The primary culprit is nitrousamines, formed from nitrites- a chemical formed in tobacco. As just a side note you also find nitrites in processed meats ie: hot dogs, brats, lunch meats. While by themselves nitrites are not harmful, when they enter your body, the acids in your stomach react and guess what----tada--- nitrousamines are produced. Just something to think about next time you have a hot dog. After that it's the usually culprits like Carbon Monoxide. I still smoke cigars, but gave up hot dogs. Ha, ha! Have a good one.
