The upcoming bar of Chandigarh Industrial and Tourism Development Corporation (CITCO) at Kala Gram will surely surprise you the moment you walk into it. From offering free condoms to condom-shaped beer mugs, the first-of-its-kind condom bar in the country will not only offer an unconventional ambience, but also spread a social message. Condoms in different sizes, colour and texture carrying different price tags would be widely available in the bar, CITCO managing director J.S. Bir says. Free condoms of a particular quality will also be available. To offer all kinds of alcoholic beverages, the bar will be inaugurated on May 2 and have timings similar to the others in the city But it's exclusivity lies somewhere else. While the interior of the bar has been designed with condoms, beer mugs are condom shaped and waiters' attire printed with condoms. The entrance of the bar has a huge red ribbon, symbolizing HIV/AIDS prevention initiatives

This may be a great thing for the people in India. Sex seems to be a taboo subject over there and they are rated second for the number of AIDS/HIV cases. So maybe their society needs a little shove in the direction of educating their people. We take for granted in north america that we are more open about the topic of sex and we are educated. Many of the people in India know nothing about sex until they are married. This could be a fun way of introducing many to the idea of using protection.

Well, I dont like to comment on this. A simple kiss of Richard Gere to Shilpa rosed to a huge controversy, and i am just hoping this would not be just another thing. But certainly, it is not a good idea to have such a thing in Country like India. Condoms are available free of cost at all Government Hospitals all over India, and so no need of such bars to distribute condoms. If all the cities in India take this initiative and starts condom bars, then India will become alcholic and sexoholic country. This is a real bad idea.

I am giving you my personal opinion as you asked for it. It does not mean to hurt anybody in anyway.
