My girlfriend is having sharp pains in her side right above her pelvic bone. There is no signs of swelling.
This is a repost... We tried the 2 inches from the belly button and 2 inches down push and release and no pain there. THe pain is right above the pelvic bone on her left side. It doesnt hurt for her to use the bathroom etc. Anymore advice? We are wainting on a call back from the Dr. We would go straight to the ER but her 2 babies are here.

If it was appendicitis, the pain would be on her right side. If it was kidney stones, she would also be having sever pain that goes around to her back. Is there a possibility she could be pregnant? Pain like that could be a result of an ectopic pregnancy, where the egg has implanted in her fallopian tube. This is a dangerous situation where the tube can rupture and she can have internal bleeding. Be sure to ask the MD about his/her opinion on the matter b/c if it is, then she might need surgery ASAP. Good Luck, I hope its nothing serious!

It could be a lot of things. Gallstones, pneumonia, urinary problems, bowel obstruction, pulled muscle, ovarian cysts, even simply ovulating can cause pain in that area. The only way to know for sure is for her to go to the dr for some tests and an ultrasound. Is she nauseated or vomiting? Has she had any sort of chest cold? When was her last period? Good luck.

Could be many things and I am not a doc...but a few years ago, I had kidney stones and had pains in that area...but the pain was unbearable and I was constantly vomitting because I found out the stones were blocking me from urinating.

Could possibly be her appendix, but I wouldn't make any hasty assumptions unless the pain is really bad.

She probably has a cyst on her ovary, your appendix is on your right side, or she could have a tangled nerve from scar tissue

Go to the doctor, it sounds like APPENDICITIS.... If you leave it too long it could burst, and she could die... Hurry up go..
