A male friend confided to me that his doctor advised him to have sex more often and says that it can somehow help in curing him (something to do with white blood cells in sperms...) Is this true or does it have any relation to a cure for his sickness?

I'm a man and a leukemia survivor and this is absolutely the most ridiculous and stupid thing I think I've ever heard! If it weren't so insulting to those really dealing with the disease it would be hilarious.
Even if he does have leukemia , which I doubt very seriously, having sex would have no effect other than satisfying his needs. Besides - I can tell you, between the disease itself and the effects of treatment, engaging in sex was the farthest thing from my mind 99% of the time. And that's from a guy, and we usually think about having sex about 99% of the time!
I have to agree that it sounds like he's trying to get your pants off. He sounds like a real winner. Maybe he does really have leukemia and we can get him out of the gene pool before he breeds more like him...

If it were only that simple. No, but it makes a good line doesn't it? Tell your friend he should really stick to the traditional chemotherapy for his leukemia treatment. If he has white blood cells in his sperm then his problem isn't leukemia, and it's still something you don't want.

Sex will not cure leukemia. If it did, no men (except maybe monks or priests) would get it.
Sex can help *prevent* a cancer that only men can get, though--prostate cancer.

Anyway, he doesn't need you to help him with the cure. He can do it by himself if what he needs to do is rid his body of sperm.

geeze some men will say anything to have sex. think about it. if sex was a cure would there be people dying of leukemia? no they would have sex and be cured

That's a new one.... No. Sex will not rid your body of leukemia. I think he is saying that to get down your pants....watch out.
