My daughter was diagnosed with mononucleosis. Her liver function levels now are AST 200 and ALT 300. Why does mono attack the liver and what should we be doing, medically, to help fight this?

I'm allergic to gluten and iwas woundering if body products such as creams and shampoos can effect you if they have wheat in it? I have been shampoo/conditioning my hair with a product that has wheat in it, and i have been feeling real sick, i hadn't relised it had wheat anyway i had been getting quite sick and knew i wasn't eating things with wheat in it, then i checked the bottle and thaught maybe it has sumthing to do with that?

What do you guys think?

okei .then they think i dont need it .i tried every thing .my skin is getting more red itchy ,and dry .now i have alot of acne holes on my face .is there anything help me .where can i get accutin without prescription or what i need? my sister inlaw took accutin .now she is an acne free.i dont think accutin help to suiside people.

im having a hard time breathing through my nose. but when I blow my nose theres no mucus coming out so its not stuffed i guess. i dont sneeze or anything so i dont have a cold. and when i drink water it relieves my breathing but comes back after awhile. what is this? sinus infection or something?

my mom has diabetes for about 12 years now and it hurts me to see how she struggles everyday and takes insulin, when she had me, she started to have diabetes and i am so lucky to have my mom alive because being pregnate while having diabetes is a huge risk. i am really close to having diabtes since my mom had them while i was in her stomach and i'm very scared for my me and my mom. i just wish that there will be a cure fr diabetes someday....do you think there will be a cure?

I have had acne for more than 5 years and have alot of dark spots one my face. What can I do to get rid of the spots and lessen the amount of new acne coming up. I have tried Proactiv it does not work for me. It has gotten so bad that I hate taking pictures because all you notice are the spots. Please help. Thanks in Advance.

i asked a question here last night. is it normal for my nipples to produce a milky liquid when squeezed? very gross i know, but they do, and im a freakin guy!the answers community told me to see a doc asap because it is very unusual and most likely breast cancer or something else very dangerous. now, the ONLY way for me to see a doc is to tell my mom. how the heck do i explain to her about liquid coming from my nips? u see, I CANT. what am i supposed to do???? i dont wanna die!

For starters, I have gone to the doctor. We're trying to figure it out, but in the meantime, I'd like to see if anyone knows what these symptoms might be signs of. I am sick nearly all of the time. I feel tired a lot, and so sluggish that housework only gets done on good days, and believe me, there aren't many of those. I get sore throats that don't stay gone when treated with antibiotics. I have been sick on and off notably since November with a ratio of 2-3 weeks sick and 1-1.5 weeks well. Right now I'm being treated for pink eye and strep throat, both of which seem to have no desire to surrender anytime soon even though I've been on antibiotics for about 6 days now. I feel so detached too. Like I'm in some kind of cloud. It's really hard to concentrate and remember a lot of things. I'm only 23! What is going on?

Ive been a diabetic for 11 years now. Im now 22 years old. About a year ago, I stopped taking my insulin and eating anything i wanted. Dont ask me why, i was just an idiot. Since then, Ive lost a lot of weight, about 25 pounds ( i was already skinny so its a big difference) and my blood sugar has gone WAYYY up. Ive recently started takin my insulin again and gained about 5 pounds. Does the weight loss have anything to do with insulin rejection?... Also i was wondering what is a really good diet to follow, that wont leave me starving after a meal. Thanks for reading guys.

I was diagnosed with arthritis in my knees when I was 13 years old ... not Rheumatoid Arthritis, plain old regular osteoarthritis. I'm almost 25 now, and I feel like my left knee has about had it. For the past two weeks, my knee feels like it "buckles" ... for example, when I go down the steps and put my weight on my left leg, it feels like my knee is going to give out from underneath me. And I'm really in an awful lot of pain. The saddest thing is that I'm allergic to basically everything in the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug family.

I've been to the ER, and they just tell me to see my family practitioner, and I can't do that because I have no insurance and can't afford to pay up front right now.

Has anyone else dealt with this problem? How did you handle it? And what can I do about all this chronic pain???

with the PCOD i am very obese and it is hard to lose the weight. i don't get my periods unless i take the pill but i have to take Esstell because the normal one give me bad cramps. i have excess body and facial hair which grows back all the time (darker and thicker) i was told that electrolosis would probably not work from my old GP (but we've just recently found out he may be losing his marbles due to old age, so thankgoodness i don't go to him anymore) my ovaries are double in size and are full of cycsts and my health lately is going rapidly down hill. i have high blood pressure, high bad cholesterol and low good cholersterol my thyriod is slugish, my sugar levels are at about 4 which if left untreated will soon be in the diabetic range and last year i developed carpultunnel in both of my wrists... HELP!!! I DESPERATELY WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT AND BE RID OF MY HEALTH PROBLEMS. Can anyone help me?

one morning.. i woke up and DEAR LORD.. the whole
lower half of my face was dry and peeling.
i know its not like sunburn peeling.
every lotion/cleanser/any-ever-blessed-thing makes my face
burn or hurt or break out.
my skin is really dry.. and sensitive.
i was forced to switch to baby laundry detergent..((well.. maybe i didnt have to.. but babies smell so sweet. hehe))
yeah anyway. my skin reacts to anything!1
does anyone know any good junk to do for this.
