i asked a question here last night. is it normal for my nipples to produce a milky liquid when squeezed? very gross i know, but they do, and im a freakin guy!the answers community told me to see a doc asap because it is very unusual and most likely breast cancer or something else very dangerous. now, the ONLY way for me to see a doc is to tell my mom. how the heck do i explain to her about liquid coming from my nips? u see, I CANT. what am i supposed to do???? i dont wanna die!

Just tell your mom that you want to see a doctor, but you feel uncomfortable discussing the situation with her. She'll understand, and you should be able to talk to your doctor alone (with her not in the room).

Nipple discharge is a symptom of breast cancer and yes, males can get it. I don't know where your first answer got her information from. I know male babies can produce liquid from their nipples when they are new born but I haven't heard of aldults doing this so I would definitely have it checked out. If you aren't comfortable talking to your mom about this then you don't have to, you're 18 now and can go to the doctor on your own. On the other hand, she's your mom and as a mother of two boys I know that my boys should never ever be ashamed to tell me anything, I'm here no matter what and I'm sure that your mom is there for you too.

I'm 26 and do have cancer, so I know how you feel. It's normal to have a discharge come out of your nipples in your teen years. all guys have breast material too. Guy's just don't develop their breasts like girls do, but sometimes guys develop their breasts more than other guys. It all has to do with hormone levels. You'll be fine. It's not cancer. Just keep squeezing out the liquid until it stops, or it could get really sore. You might still want to see a doctor, but mainly to help prevent infection.

Having milky discharge from your nipples whether male of female can certainly by attributed to hormonal changes that happen to both male and females especially during puberty. Being 18 and male you are still growing--Sometimes you can have discharge from stimulation of the nipples. I would suspect it is probably benign meaning not cancerous. Do you feel any lumps in your breasts? Any pain? Do you need to be evaluated/discuss with you doctor? Sure--maybe just call your doctor's office and talk to his/her nurse and she/he can then speak with your doctor.
You are 18. You do not need permission from your Mother to go the doctor. You can go by yourself. At the clinic any medical tests, conversations, etc between you and your doctor, nurses etc is only for your ears. If you want your mother to be able to call and receive medical information from your medical chart you need to sign a release of information allowing her to do so.
In regards to how do I tell my Mom--she is your Mom. Hopefully you have a pretty good relationship with her. Tell her the truth and I am sure she will help you make an appt. I really doubt that your discharge is breast cancer. Try not to be too worried. Call you doctor on Monday--or if your clinic offers an urgent care facility you can always go there to.
I am sure your Mom would be a good support person.

This is not likely to be cancer. This isn't terribly uncommon. Guys do have breast cancer but it is very rare. YOU now must tell your parents about this. There is nothing to be embarrassed about. Your Mother Will understand . She loves you and I care too about your well being. If I can help in anyway, please let me know. I am a mother of adult children too and many times my sons have come to me with sexual things. There is no reason to be scared or embarrassed. Just tell her and I know she will want what is best for you. Please don't freak out. Just get to the doctor. There are little milk glands in males too, so this doesn't mean you are different than other guys. Good luck and I am praying for you.

Your normal. Women do things like this from time to time. I can squeeze liquid from my breast and have always been able to do this.
You will be a great milk making machine some day. Your mammary glands produce liquid which is the same thing breast feeding mothers do.
You are not dying.

if you're an 18 y.o. male, without a very large history of breast cancer in your family then it's unlikely. men have ducts and the such just as women. you could have some type of benign tumor as well. this will sound bad, but if you can't tell your mom, then just lie to her. don't know what exactly to tell her. maybe tell her you think you have a hernia, then she probably won't check it out, but you could get to the doc. either way, she'll likely find out though... you could have a hormonal imbalance, which can result from something being out of whack or from a pituitary tumor. you need to go to the doc. you're 18, it's time to start taking care of yourself.

it's okay. you are doing the right thing by checking up on your body and taking care of your health. don't be embarrassed. please try to tell your mom but in a very serious way so that she'll listen. i guess you could try to call your doctor for an appointment by yourself, since you are 18, can you find his/her phone number somewhere?
you can call it discharge if you like. keep track of the color, amount, and how often if you can.
let them know you are really worried about it. it doesn't sound normal at all. good luck! your health is your responsbility, let those around you take that seriously. maybe you ccan just tell your mom that you think you are sick and that you need to see the doctor and keep the rest between you and your doctor alone.

I understand your pain...I had cancer when i was 14 and I was embarrassed to show anyone (altho it was not the same situation as yours).
But I agree with the rest of the answerers...you need to check with a Dr. Hopefully it's not cancer, but you gotta know for sure.
I know it'll be wierd to talk about it with ppl, like your mom, but it's something that's gotta be done.
best of luck!
