Until you get your infection cleared, get some AZO-standard,
or Cystix, or Uristat from your local food market or drug store.
It is sold over the counter, you don't need a prescription and it will eliminate the pain as it is specifically targeted to the urinary system. Its usually stocked in the women's hygiene section or else in the analgesic section. It will turn your urine bright orange, but the relief is great.

Bladder infections normally do not cause the pain you are describing. Something else is probably wrong with you.
The only known treatment medically for bladder infections is antibiotics. The usage of cranberry juice is a home remedy that seems to control bladder infections in only SOME people and NOT ALL PEOPLE. Maybe NOT YOU>
You need to go see a Physician and get on antibiotics and take the full regiment. Get off that cranberry juice, you are probably one of those idividuals in which that cranberry juice does zero good.
The cost of antibiotics is $4 for a generic at Walmart for a months supply.

One, single drink wouldn't throw off the antibiotic entirely. Stop the cranberry juice, it doesn't cure UTIs. If you've completed your antibiotic therapy, report this continued pain to your doctor immediately. You also need to disclose that you had that drink. If the pain is really bad, go to an Urgent Care walk-in clinic now and save the ER as a last resort. Continue the water (3 liters/day) and save the cranberry juice for after the infection is resolved. It's a preventive measure, not a cure. and, yeah, go ahead and try AZO Standard for the pain. And true, the food coloring in it will stain your urine, your skin (if handled for too long), your tears and even contact lenses.

If your infection hasn't gone away and your antibiotics are done, I would definitely go back to see your doctor for a urinalysis.
There is an over the counter medication you can take for the pain. It's called Azo. It will stain your bodily fluids a bright neon orange (even your tears sometimes, just FYI if you wear contact lenses), but it helps with bladder pain while you're waiting for the infection to subside.
Also, bacteria love sugar and a lot of cranberry juice has quite a bit of sugar in it. You are better off buying cranberry concentrate capsules and taking them with a lot of water.

Matching an anti-biodic to a specific infection you have is not always successful. Likely, you have a kind that medicine you are taking is not able to suppress. You need to go see your doctor again.
By the way, DO NOT DRINK while taking anti-biodics or any medicine for that matter. Alcohol interacts with many medications and sometimes, the combination can be fatal.

I had a HORRIBLE one that is just getting better.
Ended up on Cypro for 12 days after being on Bactrim for 7 days.
Peridium (sp?) helped with the back pain and spasms. It is a prescription strength of the AZO standard that you can buy over the counter.

you might want to go back to the doc..theres' many different strains of bacteria and some strains are immune to certain antibiotics...you may need a new prescription..but if youre still in pain you really need to go to the emergency room or make an appointment

Was it an antibiotic that you had prescribed? You should not still be in pain. I would recommend going to your doctor, or even the ER if the doctor is closed. One drink wouldn't set you back like that.

you need to go back to the doctor like NOW. infections can travel from your bladder to your kidneys so fast, and I'm sure you don't want to deal with a kidney infection, maybe failure.
