For starters, I have gone to the doctor. We're trying to figure it out, but in the meantime, I'd like to see if anyone knows what these symptoms might be signs of. I am sick nearly all of the time. I feel tired a lot, and so sluggish that housework only gets done on good days, and believe me, there aren't many of those. I get sore throats that don't stay gone when treated with antibiotics. I have been sick on and off notably since November with a ratio of 2-3 weeks sick and 1-1.5 weeks well. Right now I'm being treated for pink eye and strep throat, both of which seem to have no desire to surrender anytime soon even though I've been on antibiotics for about 6 days now. I feel so detached too. Like I'm in some kind of cloud. It's really hard to concentrate and remember a lot of things. I'm only 23! What is going on?

Hi. I presume you have had blood work done and nothing shows up in particular. If your Immune System is not as healthy as it could be then you tend to "catch" all the virus' going. Keep a Diary of foods eaten/drinks/allergic reactions. Do you drink enough water? What is your diet like? Do you have mould in your house? Do you take over the counter products? do you get enough sleep? Do you have extra Stress in your life? Check your home and work environments. Have you had a dental check up lately? Some fillings can cause a multitude of health problems and so can teeth not attended to. Do you get enough probiotics? nutrients? Do you check for toxic additives in foods?

Making dietary changes is your first line of defense in treating hypothyroidism. Learn here https://tr.im/q15Y5

Many people with hypothyroidism experience crippling fatigue and brain fog, which prompts reaching for non-nutritional forms of energy like sugar and caffeine. I’ve dubbed these rascals the terrible twosome, as they can burn out your thyroid (and destabilize blood sugar).

1. Just say no to the dietary bungee cord. Greatly reduce or eliminate caffeine and sugar, including refined carbohydrates like flour, which the body treats like sugar. Make grain-based carbohydrates lesser of a focus, eating non-starchy vegetables to your heart’s content.

2. Up the protein. Protein transports thyroid hormone to all your tissues and enjoying it at each meal can help normalize thyroid function. Proteins include nuts and nut butters; quinoa; hormone- and antibiotic-free animal products (organic, grass-fed meats, eggs, and sustainably-farmed fish); and legumes.

At your age the single most reason is stress and anxiety. Do you worry a lot? Walking is considered as very good medication for stress. Also avoid coeffe and cholocate. I been through it and recovered. Stress caused me a "wide" variety of symptoms that I was scared to death that I have some bad infection. As far as soar throat and pink eye, there are common ones. Clean your hands all the time and it may helps all these common infections

Good luck and stop worrying (if you are)

Unfortunately, it sounds like mononucleosis and, it pains me to say that, since I suffered with the worst case possible for 3 horrendous months. I was 21, a senior in college, and relatively healthy-so I thought. It is closely related to Epstein Barr and chronic fatigue. Guess what the best part is? THERE'S NO CURE! That's right! They will force antibiotics on you, when it's a virus-so guess what help that does? None! Everyone is going to tell you to lay in bed, get some rest, and drink liquids. 1-I can not even move 2-nor can I swallow. So, thanks for nothing, right?

I will tell you this though, ever since that torrential period, I have learned to castoff Western medicine. And now, I approach life in a holistic manner. Thank goodness no sickness has stricken me down in the past 3 years AT ALL. It will mentally prepare you to finally end your tyranny with conventional treatments. Sorry you have to wait it out, but the end (not justifying your pain, but) will prove most rewarding.

it could be chronic fatigue syndrome. It is an autoimmune illness, the body sort of fighting itself. Fibromyalgia, lupus, rheumatoid illness are a few of the autoimmunes. There are lots of them. I would go to a Rheumatologist and explain all of the information you gave us. Family doctors don't understand these illnesses so much and usually tell you it's in your head. So go to a Rheumatologist.

Ive got a lot of the same things. I have diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I also got bronchitis in november...which turned into pneumonia...I finally got rid of the cough in feb, only to have it return in march. I am still coughing and was given singulair. I have bronchitis induced asthma. My lung output is very low...they only minimally inflate, which makes me breathe harder, which makes me more tired than I already am. I am like you...the housework isnt getting done like it should. I have 7 kids to clean up after...so I dont have a choice.
I would get your thyroid checked as well. The thyroid can be the root cause of a lot of problems. Get tested for MS, Lupus and Fibromyalgia. Dont let any dr brush you off.

The cloud feeling with the tiredness and things like that is probably depression and anxiety. I suffer from both and they can cause physical and emotional pain. Please at least talk to your doctor about this possibility to see what he or she has to say. As far as the pink eye and strep throat you they may be coincidences or you immunity may be lowered due to another condition and none come to mind. Good luck.
