This sounds like it could be an allergic reaction to something. I would recommend that you see your dr to have this looked in to to try and figure out what is going on that could be causing this.

Hives are usually an allergic reaction to something specific, so you should absolutely not wait and call the nurses station at your local ER to ask them what to do next. usually they will want you to come in so they can give you an emergency shot of antihistamine. The same reaction that is causing your hives can also cause your air passages to swell and close, so go get help right away!!!!

If you're still breathing, then you will be fine. It's an allergic reaction to something. Take Benadryl if you have some at home. If it still doesn't go away, or gets worse, or you have any trouble breathing then call an ambulance.

You should go to your local chemist/drugstore and have the pharmacist take a look. Some cream could be all you need or it could be an allergy. Have you eaten anything different lately? Or used different washing powder?

Could be a number of things, to include shingles or exposure to poison ivy.
Get to a dermatologist and have the doctor make a diagnosis.

Yes, this certainly sounds like an allergic reaction to something, but please don't try to diagnose it yourself. Go along to your doctor immediately to get it checked out. If at any time your lips or tongue swell, or you feel it is getting harder to breathe, go to your local hospital emergency room urgently. Wishing you a speedy recovery!
