Diabetes has been ruled out & heart disease was diagnosed. Person has extremely low pulse rate & normal blood pressure rates. What could possibly cause a person to fall asleep within an hour of eating?

I'm 22 yrs old, asian with a medium/beige skintone. I've got slight but many acne scarring on one side of my cheek and the other side seem to have form keloids or hypertropic scars. I've got a history of forming keloids especially from piercings and my primary physician did mention it can occur from acne.

My question is would it be ok for me to have chemical treatments without triggering keloids to possibly come out? I had a consultation at the spa, but jeez the lady that consulted me didn't even know the answer. Can anyone pls. help? Thanks!

Impression Reading is: Suspected small shallow free disc hernitation on the right at L-3-4 extending posterior to the L3 vertebral body causing mild right neural foraminal narrowing of uncertain clinical consequence. Disc desiccation most pronounced at L-2-3 and L5-S1. Tarlov cysts at the S1 and S2 levels of doubtful consequence. I am really disappointed in my Md because he did not go over any of this with me, his nurse just called and said I need to be referred to a back doctor. I am also a nurse and wonder if I need to see a neurosurgen instead? Please help me>

It's only when I first start eating. After a few minutes it gets better. Yesterday I really thought I was going to pass out about halfway through my meal. Today I drank Slim Fast for breakfast and ate some nuts about mid morning. For lunch I had two Lean Pockets and about halfway through the first Lean Pocket I began to feel light headed again. I didn't come as close to passing out as I did yesterday but I still felt very faint. Not dizzy, just faint feeling. This is new, it just started yesterday.

My Father is very sick....I am so sad. He has many ailments with no available cures. I so wish it was me instead of him. I have cried off and on for over 14 hours...don't believe I can cry anymore...I had to leave his hosipital bed last night, I was so upset and did not want him to know. Life is so unfair....I only hope I die first...for if I don't....and something happens to my Father...I will join him. There is no way I can go on w/o the person I have known all my life...I love him so much. Nothing in this life is fair and I wish I had never been born..then I would not be hurting. I think back on times I may have gotten too angry with him for not taking his meds properly and I feel so badly about stuff like that....or when he would not eat...or would not wanna keep his dr. appt...etc...."Life after birth...is hell on this Earth!"....I sooo hope I go to sleep tonight and never awaken.

I have a cut on my finger that won't stop bleeding. It's not bleeding badly, but it's been oozing for about a day now. I have a history of this as well. For instance, I had a dental procedure recently and the bleeding didn't stop completely until after a week. I know most of the common ways to stop bleeding: apply pressure, hold limbs above the heart, etc. But they haven't helped. Any ideas? I'm also concerned about what would happen if I got a major cut.

I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism at age 18 and had a thyroidectomy (due to an enlarged gland) in Aug '04. Now I am on synthroid for the rest of my life and am living with hypothyroidism. Also, I was diagnosed with SVT (supraventricular tachycardia) in 2005 and had a cather albation in November '05. On January 31, 2007 I ended up in the ER with bad chills, a fever of 102, and unvoluntary jerking of my left arm and both feet. All of my tests came back negative and they couldn't find anything and diagnosed me with a viral syndrome. Ever since then, I've been having many more symptoms and numerous trips to the ER. I have sharp chest pain that comes and goes, upper adbominal pain, dizziness, insomina at times, fatigue, severe loss of appetite. I have lost 15 pounds in the last 12 days and I recently went to the ER a few days ago and was diagnosed with dyspnea. All my tests and chest x ray came back negative. The doctors don't know whats wrong with me! Pls help me out!

I think I am developing diabetes. I'm 33, overweight, and it runs in my family. Lately I have been having tingling in my feet and I know I have blood-sugar induced mood swings. I'm really scared, and I would like some words of advice from people who have been through this. I need to call my doc, I'm just looking for a good way to broach the subject. Do I call and make an appointment and just tell them I think I am diabetic? Any real encouragemant would be great.

Our son silas has been diagnosed so far with a gross motor delay and expressive receptive language disorder, hypotonic, developmental delays, sensory problems, and unexplained fatigue, and recently we took him to a holistic doctor cause we were tired of all the guessing and he did a bunch of different things and found he has a moderate yeast overgrowth, it showed up in his poop, stool, and blood, so he is on a bunch of different things for that, and we have to give him shots in his bum every three days to make up for the defecienties of some of the vitamins he has, and then we were at the gastro doc, and twice now his tyrosine level was elevated in his blood so they were looking for tyrosinemia type 1, but the liver ultrasound looked good, but the one blood test came back off, his blood di dnot clot as fast at it should have, so he said he was going to call chop-childrens hospital of philly, cause he said it could be the beginign of tyrosinemia or nothing at all.wondering what this is.

I prepared the same dinner a few weeks ago and had no problems. It was shrimp, scallops, cherrystone claims, mahogany clams and lobster tails with butter garlic sauce. I eat the same meal and had no problem. My wife only eats fish and vegs. and never had a problem. Could this have been a coincedence or could it have been that some of this seafood came from other countries? This store we shop in brings in fish and seafood from all over the world.
