My sister was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer after being a breast cancer survivor for 5 years. Are there any treatments out there for pancreatic disease and what would be her quality of life?

Diabetes runs in my late father's side of the family. He had diabetes, his mom had diabetes, his father had diabetes, and I think one of my uncles has diabetes.

As so, it runs in my family, and is in my traits..i'll probably develop it someday no matter what, but is there a way I could prevent it. (I'll probably get the usual answers...eat right, exercise, etc..but..things like this where it runs in the family, you have no control over that.)

my girlfriend was born with a hole in her heart..she cannot do surger becuase the area is too sensitive..she took medicine to have the tissue cover the whole..but her heart has eben hurtin her recently..i get scared for her..please tell me what to do..she refuses to go to the doctors..she says everythiung is fine..but i want her to go see...wat do you guys think?

About 10 yrs. ago, I had recurrent spontaneous pneumothoraces requirering surgery. At the time, I also had lymphadenopathy of unknown cause. During hospitalization I developed an acneform folliculits over chest, back , and face that itches. Dermatologist is puzzled, bx did not help, anti-fungals, antibx, topicals, failed. Did 2 courses of Accutane which helped, but rash came back on face and neck. Itches intensely- and it worse in day, better at night. Dad has Marfan variant. Tiny filled pustules and small bumpy rash. Any one with any clues? Take benadryl at night, but doesn't really help. I am 43. Only other health probs. are osteoarthritis of knees, precancerous colon polyps removed, fibrocystic breast dz. I am 5'8" 130 lbs. HELP

i was told my son may have diabetes insipidus, because he drinks all day long and pees all day long and pees a ton through the nite...

does anyone have this? if so do you take medication??

do you know anyone with it??

what happens if you dont get it treated? can you go on through life wihtout treating it??

personally i dont want to get it treated because i dont believe in using medication.
what are your thoughts??

like i said we are still ushur wether or not he has it because we left the hospital when they told us we couldnt feed our son b/c they wanted to do the water deprivation test, and he hadnt ate since breakfast and it was about 6pm so i left.

I have a rash that is on both sides of my legs. I don' t know if it is herpes or a rash from my legs rubbing. I also think why it got all pussy is because I scratched it til I developed sores. Do you think that is reasonable explanation for the rash. I mean I don't have herpes all over my penis or balls or anything. People tell me not to worry because it is an STD. I rarely have had sex so I don't know. Please help me!

I've got one at the moment, but the ointments that are supposed to heal it quicker don't really work so much in my opinion; so, I was looking for some alternatives.

The only alternative I can think of is to go to the pub, get involved in a brawl, and hope that some fellow hits me on the lip with a broken glass bottle which cuts the part with the cold sore off.

I would imagine that's sort of painful; so, I would appreciate any suggestions or alternatives that you know of. Thank you!

It's been going on for months, and usually occurs at night. Cortisone cream provides some relief, but not much. It doesn't seem to be a skin condition, though, as there is no peeling, flaking, bumps, etc.

i'm always embarassed to take my shirt off at the gym because instead of nipples, I have 2 tiny penises. i go to an all guy gym because if I were around women, my nipples would become erect. has anyone ever heard of this condition before?? please help me.
