If they contain carcinogens, yes. But today we have a pretty good idea about what materials are carcinogenic and which aren't. Of course our knowledge is not perfect, but the FDA would not allow any deodorants to be sold if they had known carcinogens in them.

If you have reason to be concerned, you can always check the ingredients listed, and look them up to confirm for yourself.

You know, just today while shopping I looked at a Suave Natural deoderant can. I looked at the ingredients and it said aluminum chlorhydrate. It also said not to use if you have a kidney disorder. Dosen't sound to natural to me. I have been using the deoderant crystal for about 1 yr. and I love it. They also make it in a pump spray if you don't like to use the crystal itself, but the crystal will last you over 1yr. Saves alot of money!

Deoderant itself doesn't cause cancer, it's the aluminum agent in the deoderant. Walmart paired up with the breast cancer foundation and now sells deoderant with a pink ribbon on it that is aluminum free. Talk to your doc or call the breast cancer foundation and they will verify the aluminum facts.
