I have lupus and i need to take steroids beecause my immune system is low and all i wanted to know is if it will effect me in some way ?

I have tried elevating the legs but this isn't always possible especially at work. Have a stent in the left coronary artery; on blood pressure medicine and aspirin regimen. Also bipolar disorder recently diagnosed. Taking Lithium and Risperdal. Also taking famotidine for stomach pain. Just worried that the edema is cardiac related and worry about Congestive Heart Failure. Heart problems are very predominant in family history.

Can you get a sexually transmitted disease if you get semen in your eyes or nose. Like anywhere in your mucas membranes? This hasn't happened to me in case you wondered. My daughter wanted to know, and I didn't have the answer.( Nor has this happened to her)

yes medication was given, insulin and avaidis or something close to that name, was told go visit doc. never being discharged which was around 5/04, never did and discontinued the medication in that year. the visit was to see which medicine he should stay on or discontinue

I hurt my wrist 2.5 months ago. (I think it was weakened over time by guitar playing, then one night I felt a sharp pain while playing guitar.) Despite 2.5 months of wearing a brace, trying not to use my left hand,and a lot of phyical therapy and anti-inflamatories, it still hurts to lift a glass of water. I know I have high rheumatoid factor. Is it possible that is why my wrist is not healing?

This is my friend so don't yell at me. She said she visualizes her wrists cut with blood draining etc, How can I help her over her depression. She said she was much to old and mature she is one yr younger than i she is 40, to do herself harm...so why does she keep seeing these images...she said she was feeling better after deciding to get a divorce. how should i help. she has insomnia as well and no appetite but is still going to work. this is my FRIEND ok..

Hi I am 24yrs old. I have used my mothers finger poke machine thingy. These are my readings for yeseterday-9am: 42 9pm: 267. Then today at 9am it was 36 then at 6:30pm it was 302. Is this normal? I haven't had any sweets at all. I have been feeling light headed the last 2 days. THen tonight my heart feels like it is raceing and I am cravings sweets bad. I haven't been diagnoised as a diabetic. Thanks

Does anyone have Fibromyalgia or know anyone with it? I have it and cannot take pain medications as I am allergic to them. Does anyone know any alternative treatments I can try? Do you find that your pain goes in cycles? Do any of you experience a burning sensation anywhere? I have it in my back and chest and stomach and don't know yet how to deal with it. I also get VERY tired dealing with this pain all the time. Any suggestions?

My blood sugars have been in the 500's and higher for the past 6 months, and I dont know what to do, I have lost over 30 lbs. in the past 2 months, all i feel like doing is sleeping, I cant wake up in the morning to go to work and Im always drained, feel dizzy, I get the cold sweats in the night and sometimes during the day. Now I have an ulcer and my eating habbits are all messed up. Dont get no exercise because i have a desk job and when i get home Im so tired. Example last weekend i sleep for 2 days straight, and maybe only ate one meal or so. Its getting pretty serious, my vision is getting blurred and I get cramps in my legs and lower back. Can someone out there give me some guidence.

Over the last 3 days I have had 3 extremely heavy nosebleeds.2 to-day lasting for 3/4,1hr long litteraly pouring, went to my local hospital where it was cauterised,but Dr was not convinced it was nasal vascular, BP was normal Anyone any other suggestions what it could be?

My son is 4, sometimes he still has accidents, and the other day on such an occasion I noticed his urine smelled like maple syrup. I looked into MSUD and read that if it hasn't been caught within the first week of life it's generally fatal, but he's been very healthy his whole life. What other things could cause his urine to smell like maple syrup?
