I'm going to college in two days and am trying not to get sick. I've been taking Airborne, drinking tea, and getting rest (as much rest as I can while still trying to get things ready for college). Am I past the incubation period for the common cold?

I was diagnosed with breast cancer three years ago today at the age of 31....it was a nast diagnosis with 7 positive lymph nodes which led to mastectomy, chemo, rads and 2 years of Herceptin in a trial . So far I am ok,although as I only finished Herceptin in June I do still feel a little creaky and tired.....the weight gain from the hormonals has been awful and I hate feeling so fat but I suppose its better to be alive than a skinny dead!

Anyway just wanted to know how to cope with the fear cancer brings, I have an eight year old I want to raise to adulthood and I lay awake at night just crying and crying.....doesi t ever get better? and how many women really survive this and live to a ripe old age?
Any suggestions on diet and supplements too would be great....I do log on to various cancer websites and they help but sometimes I feel I should have "moved on" by now!

I'd been having what I found out are PVC's & PAC's, which was bad enough to hear. But when I went to the cardiologist's office the day he told me that (in regard to an event monitor I used), he did an ekg in the office and said it was abnormal. I requested a copy of the ekg & his notes, which just say "non-specific ST-T wave abnormalities", and also said that I should not worry about it. I had an echocardiogram and an echo stress test, both of which were completely normal and looked good. But, the abnormal ekg is really bothering me. According to him, every ekg he's seen (& I've had multiple ekg's over the last 7 months) has shown some degree of this non-specific ST-T wave abnormality. What I want to know is, is there ANY POSSIBLE WAY AT ALL that this "abnormality" will resolve itself? I've been told that anxiety can cause it, & supposedly I have panic & anxiety disorder. Also, what causes these abnormalities? Do they increase risk of death from cardiac causes??????????????????????????

My hands have been peeling for about 3 weeks. It's really bothering me because I don't know why. People think its peeling because I played golf for the first time without gloves. I'm thinking it might be that but I'm really not sure. I really want to know about this and if there's anything to do about it! Please help!

My mum had two blood tests of liver function several weeks ago.
Her Dr. said she need to see a liver specialist and a blood specialist because her Bilirubin is "too high".
----------------------------------------------
Test 1 / Test 2

Total Bilirubin: 1.9 / 2.2
Indirect Bilirubin: 0.2 (test 2)
SGOT(AST) : 24 / 20
SGPT(ALT): 20 / 16
ALP 45 / 44
WBC: 6.6 / 5.4
Hemoglobin: 14.2 / 14.5
Hematocrit: 41.3 / 42.1
Platelets: 66 / 72
GGT: 13(test 2)
---------------------------------------------------
How do I understand these results from Test 1 and test 2?
Is this means that she has liver problem and blood problem??
Anybody have any suggesttions for me?

Thank you very much!

My best friend's 20 month-old was diagnosed with this condition after several months of running fevers of 104 to 105 degrees daily. She was tested for leukemia among other things. They said that it usually resolved by removing the tonsils and adenoids. I'm just not sure of what the condition actually is or is actually called. There are apparently 4 or 5 symptoms involved, but they never occur at the same time. The only one that I am aware of is a very high fever.

Both of my children have eczema and the dr. prescribed elidel. After I read the possible side effects, I would rather not rub it on them all the time.
