I was reading, like I do either Sunday morning or sunday evening, on postsecrets, that said this women had passes torettes (I think I spelled it right) and OCD. I think I know what OCD is but what is toretts and how is it passed on?

It's spelled tourette's. It's when people can't control themselves and have outbursts of profanity or other obscene things. Do a search on tourette's for more information. OCD is Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. A person is obsessive about 1 or more things, like washing their hands or cleaning things, or saying little rhymes or other things a certain number of times. A guy with OCD was on Grey's Anatomy last night.

OCD is obsessive compulsive disorder.
Tourettes syndrome is a neurological disorder that is genetically inherited. I've attached a link if you would like more info.

Tourette syndrome. It is tics, like rapid eyeblinking, constant sniffing, head jerking, throat clearing, humming and many others "habits". It is thought to be the same gene as OCD but with tics.
