you can buy this stuff over the counter called tears...and it flushes your eyes out and it does help with infections in the eye...but if this does not help you may need to go to a eye doctor because they can give you other medicine for your pacific problem....i have had to do this before when i got hit in the eye with a limb while on the back of a four wheeler....so think about this and if you think it is serious enough go to a eye doctor...

dry eye- try refresh tears...if u want to be cheap, then any generic artificial tears.
if infection- must go see a doctor. maybe occasional flushes with saline solution might help...but u still need an antibiotic eye drop, which is prescription only. (i will mention though...due to manufacturing problems, good saline solutions are not available. there's a few companies who make cheap saline solutions that cause stinging for those with sensitive eyes like me.)

There aremany artificial tears that you can buy over the counter. If they do not work go and see a doctor. If you wearcontactlenses be sure to wash your hands when dealing with the lenses and be sure to clean them up good.
