People can live anywhere from a few years to 20 years or more with HIV. It just depends on how long they have had it and how long they have been taking their medication.
My uncle took his medication every day and he only live for about 10 years with HIV. It all depends on the person. Everyone is different.

Yes it can be detected in the urine and saliva too they have a new oral test for HIV that will give Pulmonary results in 15 minutes get your self informed about HIV/AIDS go to this site and learn a little!! :-) .As far as how long can a person can live being Infected with this Virus with to days medicines and treatment a person can live for 15+years I have friends that are HIV Positive now for 18+ years

It can be detected in urine, sweat and even tears, however, the virus is in a lower concentration than in the blood. With proper care and medication, a person with HIV can live a long and healthy life.

I think it needs to be detected in blood, nit sure about urine, but HIV is no longer a death sentence, although many do die, but its usually through other things that body cant fight off while its fighting the HIV. The meds help alot but its not a cure, the best thing is be safe and get tested often.
