I'm about to turn 50. (a very young 50--)
Anyway, 2 months ago, I went to the doctor... hired the trainer... have been exercising and watching what I eat...
and tomorrow, I get measured for the first time. This weekend, I've been eating out of control.

Your thoughts are appreciated!!

I am a tall (6"1') but slender all-around athlete. How is it that I weigh around 170 lbs? Also despite my tall but slender body frame I find that I can out muscle my other teammates that are more muscular looking with ease when wrestleing? I can also hit the baseball much farther and I can throw the ball much harder. How is this possible?

I am 5'9 280 lbs. I want to get down to 200 or below before the end of the year. I do a lot of heavy lifting at my job so I need to counter that because I am not interested in adding muscle weight. I can keep my calorie intake at or below 2000 even though my doctor calculated that I could consume about 4000 (per day) without gaining weight.
