I personally like the glycemic index myself. Since I love fruits and vegetables anyway, that part's not a problem. I just don't like the time consuming chore of figuring out what to eat...

I have stopped paying attention. It's hard not to get cynical when it's announced some food is bad for you and then they decide --hey, no, it's good for you. Just try and be sensible, that's what I do.

The new Federal Food Pyramid is not the best example of nutritious eating. It emphasises carbohydrates and most nutritionists don't care for it at all. Try a Diabetic Exchange Diet for more accurate food exchanges. It will even give you the calorie intake you desire.

HA! I eat litterally from the time I wake up to thhe time I go to sleep, with total disregard for that useless thing. And because of a high matabolism, I never gain much weight anyway...honestly, I took one look at that thing and totally dismissed it. Far to complex.
