ok, now that i am older and past the self-conscience stage of wearing braces as a kid. i wanted to know if any adults had braces and what kind of insurace or plan you had to help pay for them. i know health care varies form state to state and for me living in NJ the dentist said it will cost around $5,000. if anybody from the philadelphia area had work done cheaper please refer the dentist.

I've heard that the heat from the cigarret ruins your gums and that is where cavities come from. Is this true?

Currently I've veneers on my front teeth but I don't feel it's strong. Will xray show the teeth structure inside the veneers is cracked or broken?

Thanks.

I have three teeth on my right side (incisor, canine, first premolar) that are all very crooked. I had braces before and didnt wear a retainer and that was the result. The rest are ok. These teeth are pretty damn bad though, the first one (incisor) is pushed wayy back, the second one (canine) is pushed up and forward and the last one (first premolar) in pushed inward. Metal braces are probably the only way to go for this, but I figured I'd ask anyway. Anyone know of some possible methods that are less visible? I don't care about price or duration.

I have to get them on Monday.
Like 2 out of 8.

Do they hurt at all?

It says it will on the website, but will it really? I had braces for a little over a year before but didn't wear a retainer and therefore three of my teeth are very crooked and misaligned now (the rest are ok). I want to do something about this now to get the problem fixed. I REALLY don't want metal braces, they're just incredibley embarassing. Will invisalign work for serious cases? I don't care about the duration, just as long as it works. Let me know.

My dentist told me to use a popsicle stick when I can to push it outward. He says it will be easy once it gets past the opposite line of teeth.

Oh, I'm 23 years old.

Will this work? If so, how long does it take?

My husband just got his removed. I'm not too sure if I should or not as he's got me scared! One of mine are already in and I think they will all fall into place properly. Is there any way to avoid it or do you just know when your teeth hurt badly?

It is on the right next to my two central teeth, and my dentist to me that I can make a cap that's a bit larger than it and wear it, but she also told me that they'll need to remove part of it because a lower tooth comes over it..u see what I mean, so is it worth it?? and how much would that cost in dollars??
