Currently I've veneers on my front teeth but I don't feel it's strong. Will xray show the teeth structure inside the veneers is cracked or broken?

Thanks.

No it will not show. An x-ray can only show evidence of a crack if the pieces are displaced. If there is a veneer in place, it will be holding the pieces together, so it won't show.

It depends on the crack. My crack was across the inside of the tooth. The dentist said he would just keep grinding it down enough to save the tooth. But he could not see the depth of the crack. Next thing he said to me was" We have to extract" That wasn't what I wanted to hear. The x-rays only showed part of the problem.

A VENEER IS LIKE VERY THIN GLASS. A CRACK PRESENT ON THE PORCELAIN IS MOST LIKELY NOT GOING TO SHOW ON AN E-RAY.

Yea it should because when I chipped my front tooth off it showed everything that was broken even a little crack on my other front tooth before they fixed it.
