I may be concerned about nothing, since I live a pretty monastic way of life up in the mountains this time of year, and therefore don't see many women, but since I've been practicing standing and sitting meditation everyday for about a month, I noticed that I have little interest in sex. I'm still capable of course, I'm just not experiencing that moth-to-a-flame sort of lustiness, and I'm only 24.
I feel as if my instincts are superceded or blocked out by my mind now, which is preferable in most ways, but I suspect that it would make relationships problematic in this day and age, since intellectually I find sex troublesome and perhaps moreso than it's worth most of the time. Of course, I still want the company of a woman...
Does anyone have experience with this possible side effect of meditation? Any advice regarding the relationship aspect?
