It depends on what kind of Reiki and how your teacher does it. My first Reiki Mastership (just the mastership portion) took 8 weeks of 1 all day class per week plus homework--that was Usui Reiki. My second one--Threshold Reiki-- took 2 full days plus some online work beforehand.
The type of healing I teach now is Shamballa Multi Dimensional Healing. The student course is 2 full days. The teacher course requires that you've taken the student course, and it takes 3-4 full days of training.
In most forms of Reiki, to become a master you have to have taken all the student level courses first, or already be a master in an other type of healing, to take the master level class.
There are also 2 types of mastership. A Healing Master has taken all the required healing classes but cannot teach. A Master-Teacher can teach every level of classes (usually including teacher, but this can different in different types of healing). So be clear on what you want.
A Master-teacher does not gain any extra healing abilities. It's a lot of work to learn to teach these classes (and a lot of work to teach them) and it shouldn't be undertaken unless you have a calling to teach.

I am a Reiki Master Teacher, from m y own experiences of being attuned as the feedback I heve gotten from students, everyone's individual process is different. Some people just feel great and only have an easy time. Some have physical discomfort ranging anywhere from fatigue to flu like symptoms. Some have deep emotional release. In many cases people find that some of the people in their environment suddenly are uncomfortable in their presence and they may have conflict in relationsips both work and personal. You may experience an increase in intuitive nad psychic abilities. Just do your daily self-healing and handle the things that you must in order to have a safe and happy life and whatever happens, if there is turmoil, it will pass and you will be better after it passes than before it came.

If you want to experience the full power of Reiki, becoming a master healer could take you quite a bit of time. Usually, a gap of 3 months of daily practice is recommended between degrees 1 and 2.
After the second degree, we recommend atleast 1 year of daily practice before taking attunement to the Master Healer level. A gap of 3 years is best, it gives you enough time to grow and absorb the full advantage of taking the third degree.

That depends on who is teaching the class and which line of teachers it comes from. There are many different lines of teachers. The Reiki Allience has three levels of teaching. It usually takes at least a year to reach the third level if not longer. The first two levels are not too expensive, $150 to $300 each. The third level costs $10,000. Not my cup of tea. I have had four different teachers for Reiki. The teacher I associate my learning from is William Rand. he teaches four level for the basic reiki class. He has advanced classes and certified classes for those who want to use Reiki as a profession. Let your intuition guide you to a teacher.

Sorry to see you only got snide remarks to your question. It can take a year or two to become a Reiki Master. There aren't courses offered in my area, all of the people I know who practice Reiki learned from a Reiki Master, kind of an "apprentice". Just google "reiki", there are a lot of schools that offer courses all over the country.

It depends on you.I became reiki mastered certified after 4 years being level2 .I did alot of reading ,reiki shares,and healing sessions to learn as much as i could.
And now im ready to teach.Its a great feeling to know that something so simple easy and affordable really helps in the healing process.
You look for reiki master teacher in your area,set up an apointment and He or she can attune you alone or in a small group,and in that same session you will be certified.
Just make sure you are up to level 2.
