I am looking for a dietary supplement, i was told to give my child .5mg's but can only it in a mcg whats the differance?

mg is milligram
mcg is microgram
there are 1000 micrograms per milligram, so take the number of mcgs it says and move the decimal poing three spaces to the left and that will give you the mgs. if you start with mgs, move the decimal point three spaces to the right and that will give you the mcgs.
if using mcgs you'll need 500 mcg=0.5mg

1000 mcg = 1 mg

5mg is milligrams. 5mcg is micrograms.
