i had a acupuncture treatment and i was sold some chinese herbal talbets . do they work?

Sometime they do, sometime they don't. It really depends on what you have and how good the herbalist is. Often you won't feel many changes from the tablets. In general the herbal soups have better potency. Tables are much easier to take tough.

I had a back problem and stayed in bed for a few days. The doctor told me to rest without any help.
My father got a Chinese over my house to do some acupuncture and fire-in-a-glass-bottle thing. I got up the next day.
Yes, they do in general. But I'm sure there are some impotent Chinese doctors as well. So the real question is that your Chinese doctor is good?

YES! I had health problems for 7 years. I went to a TCM doc (traditional Chinese Medicne) doc 2 years ago because I was sooo desperate for help. He mentioned health problems that no other mainstrem doc did...they always said 'you're fine'....well, guess what, my health got worse and I finally found a doc who could diagnose my problems and what did he tell me...
the EXACT problems the TCM doc did.
Situation #2 - I had a baaad ear infection over the holidays...MD gave me ear drops and a script for an oral antibiotic 'if it wasn't better in 2 days'...I was so severely in pain that I filled the script the next morning. Did NOTHING...I called the doc, he diagnosed me with SHINGLES (of all things) over the phone...my ear infection was now in both ears...felt like I had graprfruits in both ears. I called the TCM doc...walked in...he gave me herbal stuff. WITHIN 20 minutes I could feel the pressure decreasing in my ears.
SO YES! It works! They have been at this medicine thing a lot longer than us.
They gave me tablets after accupuncture too.... they are working great with me! Hope they help you! Sorry to ramble but wanted to share! :)

I had "quit" smoking acupuncture yesterday; and I had the same thing in 2001. Well, the earlier "fix" only lasted 3.5 years so I finally resorted to a second "fix". The first time I opted out of the pills but this time I bought them hoping for a better outcome. The PILLS are supposed to cleanse the lungs and other organs! we shall see......:) BTW dont ask too many questions about things because they have pills for everything including stress reduction!

yes chinese system of medcines is very old and proven but depends who is prescribing the medicines? go to a licenced and experienced person only.

Probably. They know their stuff in China. Their medicine is much more advanced in many ways.
