What do you do about it?

My Brother-in-law (in his 50's) doesn't take care of himself and has ended up in the hospital twice in two years with sezures, and this last time a collapsed lung. he doesn't take his meds, lives in a filthy house, and neglects his pets. I am looking for advice on how to go about having My Husband ( his brother) take over his power of attorney and make his decisions for him. He is not capable of doing these things on his own. Yet
no one seems to know any answers. We now have his Parrot
and need answers.

Ok. Here's the deal. It started exactly a month ago. I started by getting sick to my stomach... didnt' throw up, but felt like I could. That went away adnd came back a couple times. I haven't had it for about 2 1/2 weeks now. But throughout this I've had HORRIBLE congestion. Which seems to have only gotten worse. Right now, as gross as it sounds, I feel like I'm drowning in flem. My cough is so bad that I almost choke myself. I also did probably the stupidest thing and went snowboarding the other day. I banged myself up pretty good so now i'm sore... but then today I got a shooting pain in my left side right around the lower rib cage. It went away when I laid down but came back later on.

Does anybody have any idea what I might have??? Severe sinus infection? Upper respiratory? those are just my guesses... but if anybody has any idea it'd be appreciated since i can't really afford to go to teh doctor right now.

Suppose you had cancer or some other life threatening illness, would you alternative remedy people seek out homeopathic treatment? How can we encourage more mystics, psychics, nut-jobs, faith healers, etc to use only homeopathic remedies for serious illness so as to rid oursevles of these frauds? And don't you think there should be a law passed requiring homeopaths to use pnly their own remedies when faced with a life threatening sickness?

pretty much im wondering if you still get the ovulation discharge white and gross when you are on birth control pills. i have been taking it for almost two months and i still get discharge on the 13 or 14 day of my period. so do release an eggs or not because what is the point of taking thepill if you still going to ovulate..??? very confuse

My father had emphysema and COPD for the last 30 years of his life, and no he didn't smoke. He had in the past but had since quit. I took my turn taking care of him and watched him get worse and worse until the day he took his last breath. Now, a year later, I keep getting bronchitis and need inhalers. I cough and wheeze and sound just like my father did. The cough sounds identical and I have every symptom he did. I even get shaky and winded after a long coughing fit. It often scares me when I realize how farmiliar this all is. And here's the real kicker...I am only 24 and I have never smoked a day in my life! When I was a kid I was often hospitalized for severe asthma attacks and pnemonia, but I was told I grew out of the asthma and am fine now. Could I be developing emphysema even though I have never smoked before and I am only 24?

you see it on shows sometimes, foriegn mostly, where people put on weights under their clothes to stregnth train while walking, running, working, that kind of thing. Something that I can use on my arms and legs, and anywhere else I can put one?...... where is a store (online or otherwise) where I can get these? I would love to be able to wear them while at work because I work 10-12 hours a day, 6 days a week and I don't really have time to go to the gym. And also, please let me know what the best quality is that I can get for my money.

I sleep on my side with my hands under my head. I wake up several times at night and my hand will be asleep, very numb! I have always slept on my side and I dont remember having this problem in the past . I know its not uncommon for your hand to go to sleep but... this much? every night, 3-4 times every night? I dont have a problem during the day just occasonally if I set on my foot.

my husband beets on me all the time,calls me names and the police here say if they come back they will take us both to jail,he hit me hard this morning and i packed my car and i want to leave but he took my keys and wont let me have them,i have no family im all alone in this worldi cant work i have dissability problems and been denied disability.i just dont know what to do,i cry all the time ,i dont sleep much and im always afraid im going to say something wrong and i usually always do,i just want out,he wont even let me have a phone cause he is afraid ill get help and leave,so what else is there for me but OUT of it all

my brother has severe ADHD that has recently gotten wayy out of control. We cannot even talk toh im without things turning inot a family argument and my parents cant handle it anymore. Do you have any suggestions as to how to deal with his inhability to concentrate on everyday simple tasks???

I've been on stage many times before for spelling bees and such but tonight I have a piano competition.

I'm really nervous because I was thrust into this by my teacher and now I'm past the point of no return. I know my song, I know it well, I just don't have the accuracy. Some parts I slow down, or mess up on, and I'm just really nervous about tonight.

What can I do to calm myself? I would keep practicing but I can play it perfectly on the keyboard, I just need practice on a grand piano, which I don't have.

Someone, offer help, please!

I quit smokeing almost 2 months ago.I feel better and really don't want to smoke again I have even been around smokers since i quit and kelpt myself from smoking.but I think about smoking a lot i even miss it some times I know how bad it is for you and I know my three kids are a big reason why I fight these thoughts.I was wondering how long will I continue to think about smoking is this something that most people who smoked fight everyday for the rest of their lives.Will it get any easyer?
