im 5'6 110 pounds and want to start exercising in the morning. I posted a question about jogging recently and have got good responses, and i have been assured that it wont make my calves huge and is a good way of exercising. However, there were a few comments about jogging damaging the joints and that cycling in over all better. Is cycling better? and also ive heard that cycling makes your thighs big ( dont ask me where i get this stuff from). Thnx

i was standing on a wobbly stool ( i know really stupid idea) trying to change a lightbulb when i overeached and slipped off.
But as i fell i smacked my arm against the coffee table,about 2 minutes later my arm had swollen up and was very painful to move i had a sling and badages at home so i used them to strap my arm up but today it is really painful and still swollen.
does anyone have any idea what i jave done to my arm?

Are EMT’s trained to do a professional job enough to take you to the hospital… do they have to still call a doctor for protocols while in an ambulance?

I have asked my Doctor about the long term use of Vancomiacin intraveniously and having to use it on 2 occassions already. I have never felt the same after having mrsa and haven't ever been able to return to work do to weakness. Are the long term effects going to get worse?

I am so frustrated. My entire life I have always had clear, clear skin, but in the last year or so, I get at least one blemish a month, and it's the kind that really hurts.

I clean my face each evening with Yonka products, and each morning, I "sometimes" cleanse. I'm 39 years old so this is what is so confusing. I should not get these kinds of blemishes.

Plus, I get a facial each month. We are startting micorderma brasia next month (six in a row), and then we are going to look into collagen tretments, but I'm about to say "forget" those, I just want smooth, flawless skin. Do I have Adult Acne? Any suggestions? I read where models are using only soap and water; if they do then what is it that they use, I wonder. All suggestoins welcomed! :)

Let say you eat at McDonalds and there are two EMT’s in uniform sitting down the table next to you. You fall down to the floor with chest pains. Is it the EMT’s job to immediately come to your rescue and provide medical EMS service… or do the EMT’s there call another EMS to do it?

My really close friend is talking of smoking pot, im really protective of her and tell her she shouldnt and she has no reason to, which she really doesnt, she has tons of friends, people that care of her, enjoys life completely already... but she says what reason does she not to? alot of our friends smoke, and it doesnt really bother me

what are some other reasons i can tell her not to smoke?

Hi, I am 26 year old woman with 2 kids. And i am miffed as to what my symptoms are, i am in the uk and we can not self refer ourselves to a neorologist (sp) which is where i want to go, we are also registered with a certain doctors clinic where their are numerous doctors (gp's), i have seeked 4 different opinions within my clinic and have been told different things..

This has been going on for about 5 years, i had an mri of the head and i have had 2 ecg's (electrodes on my head) and they were all negative.. my blood pressure is on the low side of normal 105/60, But this past few months have gotton worse.. here are my symptoms:
pain in my right ear. (no sign of infections, just a scar from infections as being a kid).
ear feels as if theres wind blowing in it sometimes.
pain all around the ear. (skull area)
pain in my right temple following onto my right cheek.
pain just above my right temple.
pain above my right eye following from above my right temple.
pain down my right hand side of my neck as if its follows on from my ear.
my neck clicks when i move it sometimes grinds.
on a flare up i call it my right eye waters a little, and the areas with pain are tender to touch, tender when i cough, tender when i sneeze and tender when i move my head. (lasts few hours).
tingling down right side of my face.


I have been told, migrane (but i have had migrane and thats throbbing?), Trigeminal Neuralgia? tmj? ( i dont have an overbite nor do i grind, no sign in my teeth of that but my jaw does click when i open it). i was worried about it being a brain tumour but have been reasured that the pain would get worse, i would have high blood pressure, and other symptoms, and have been told that the sympoms i am experiencing wouldnt be seen as having one of these. so i am reasured of this, but i really want some answers and am not getting any.

I have been to the dentist ordered a mouthguard just incase, and i been refered to a dental consultant at the hospital, (can they do a ct scan?) been to the opticians, all is ok he took a pic of behind my eyes no shadows or anything..

does anyone know what this could be?

If your in the uk and see a neuro could you ask them for me? i am so desperate..

I almost died the 1st time and was in & out of the hospital several times. The 2nd time was after a tummy tuck and was very ill for a long time. Is this still in my system waiting for me to have another surgery and will I have to do the Vancomiacin intaveinously again? I don't think I can handle being that sick again and I am very frightened.

(continuing question)...if she wouldn't do her popular workouts;she's beautiful and I think that if she was the same weight but without exercising she would still have a sculpted tummy and nice curves

The thing that is confusing me is if yield stress is the same as the yield point yield point? My current understanding of yield stress is it's the range at which a material have elstic properties whereby the material would return to its original shape even if a force is applied. However I believe that if I answered a exam question like this it would not be correct as I have not applied stress part into it.
