Thirst and weight gain dont equal Diabetes honey, there are other factors which im shocked you are not aware of due to your parents.Tiredness, irratability play big part, which test did you have? if it was a pricked finger ,that wasnt the test, you must fast for 12 hrs then be given a large dose(10oz) of a glucose drink to down then have more blood taken, this test is a 2 hr stay at your hospital cos if you have it you will be vanerable after the drink.Hope this helps. . . i was diagnosed 2 years ago.

there are different tests for diabetes, and if one isn't showing that you're diabetic, another one might.

You could also have something else wrong, like with your thyroid. I would get checked out by a competent doctor.

Diabetes mellitus
-Increased appetite may lead to weight gain, although weight loss may also occur.
-Other findings include fatigue, polydipsia, polyuria, polyphagia, nocturia, weakness, and somnolence.

Excessive weight gain happens also with increased calorie intake.

Please get this checked by a doctor you might have low blood sugar/low blood pressure.
