Can anyone please try and explain how a 42 year old stroke victim be left without food for 26 days on a hospital ward? After 26 days, he died!

I have also seen this type of negligence and neglect with my own eyes.

Nurses? I would not trust them to care for a pet, let alone a member of my family.

If a member of your family needs to stay in an NHS hospital. Make sure you arrange time off work and go in and look after them yourself. Otherwise you have no idea what might happen.

My grandmother is in her 80s and has been on Coumadin for awhile but developed some bleeding at the stem of her brain. she is prone to blood clots so they put a vena cava filter in her leg since she can no longer be on Coumadin. She spent nearly 3 months in the hospital and rehabilitation facility. In that time none of her swelling has gone down in her right leg. She came home yesterday and is in pain. What can I do to reduce the swelling and reduce the pain?

Alright, I woke up only Half way so it seemed. I was laying there, and due to sinus problems I couldn't breathe through my nose. And for some reason, i couldn't Move at all. My eyes were closed still, I was aware of myself but not totally awake, and i tried to move my hand to at least move my lip so I could breathe. and it was becoming really hard to deal with because i was so short of breath I felt like I was going to die, I tried so hard to move my arm to help myself, and i could feel it moving but it was such minor movement. and then i snapped out of it and just totally woke up. I don't know if it was a Dream, or if it actually happened to me. what the hell is that about?

Ok, I've been on Cymbalta for Generalized Anxiety Disorder for the past six months without any side effects...I recently met a woman I care alot about and we attempted to have intercourse...I couldn't feel much, if anything. Anyone else have these problems? If so, what did you do about them, or do you have any ideas on how I can keep Cymbalta without this happening?

One of my close friends was diagonised HbsAg positive about five years ago, then he was advised to go for HBV DNA test which came as negative and his LFT is always normal, we have searched the vast ocean of internet to interpret the situation but failed to comprehend any thing from it. Can any one on this forum enlighten us to save him in case he is in trouble or to give him a new lease of life, if he is already safe from dangers of getting killed the killing HB.

I have put in a suggestion to Yahoo! about two new possible catagories; 'Contraception' and 'Trying to conceive after contraception' Do you think these should be added to yahoo answers? Follow the link below to see my suggestion and vote for it if you think it's a good idea.

I myself am on contraceptive to regulate my cycle after the use of depo, but would like to conceive in the near future. I feel like these two sub-cataories would be beneficial to people like myself and questions can be asked and answered by people in the same boatSearching for particular questions an answers of these topics can be long winded, and difficult, and can take a long time.

hey..I've been wearing spects for the past eight years. Finally, at 19, i have switched to contact lens but I always feel conscious wearing them. Now, there is no spects to hide my dark circles. Theres also this puffiness which is most visible when I smile. What is the quickest way to get rid of dark circles and puffiness using home remedy? Also, my eyes have this 'sunk in' look about them which makes me look tierd even though when Im not! I guess having worn glasses for this long has resulted in this. What do I do about it? Please help..I want to look good!!

A few weeks ago i had a really bad stomac bug and i stopped eating for about 4 days as i would just throw up. But after i was better i kinda diddnt start eating, and just eat a bit occationally. I want to eat again but i just cant! The thought of food makes me feel sick, and i get full really easily. I know this is bad as i have lots alot of weight ( i am 7.13 stone and i am 6'7) i used to be 8.8 stone. Any ideas or advice?
