i am getting pain only in my left knee its like this know for the last six months its very hard to open my knee when i am sitting down with my knee closed i have never injuried my leg or knee i dont play any type of sport my knee dose be sore if my leg is striaght it dose not swell up nor dose it be red any thoughts on what it could be male 35

it could be anyhing. I wish I could be more helpful. Its best to see your family doctor and then maybe an orthopoedic surgeon. It could just be inflammation, or maybe you injured yourself unknowingly and need surgery.

You don't say what type of pain it is. If it's a dull achy kind of pain it could be arthritis. But if it's a sharp stabbing or tearing type of pain, you may have injured something. I have had both types, and it turned out that the sharp pain was caused by a torn cartilage. I had it surgically repaired by an orthopedic surgeon using an arthroscope, and it worked really well, I was up and walking and driving in 2 weeks.

The only way you will know for sure is to see your doctor, you may need an X-ray or an MRI, and then they'll be able to tell what the problem is and how to treat it.
