ankles, feet, shins, and calves. I can usually walk it off, but lately they have become very painful & I usually just cry! It almost feels like the bones are twisting everyway but the right way. I drink plenty of water & started eating a banana everyday (someone suggested that...). Any clues to what this could be? Fatigued muscles?

This question appeals to transhumanists, doctors, students, biotechnologists, and philosophers - basically anyone.

Once the epiphyseal plates of the long bones have closed, further bone growth is considered impossible. Considering that height, or lack thereof, has considerable sociological ramifications, will it be possible to one day "choose" our height? Many of you know that shorter people are on average paid less, date less, and are respected less. A recent study revealed that shorter people may even be less intelligent.

Can biotechnology, nanotechnology, future medical technology help allieviate this disease to the people it has already inflicted? We already have the "Ilizarov Method," or 'limb lenghtening' method as one form of primative invasive biotechnology.

Recently, an ultrasound device has been developed by scientists to regrow teeth. It may be one day used for people to gain height. Please read the attached link. When do you think this will happen?

I'm a teenager, and I'm actually fairly light, but my stomach seems to be getting some kind of a pot belly thing..I'm not sure if that's what you'd call it, but I've got excess belly fat that I really want to get rid of, because it's not at all pleasant. Once again, I'm not trying to 'lose weight' , I'm just trying to lose some of that fat down there...any ideas or exercises that may help for that kind of thing..?

I am 14 and have Panic Disorder. The thing is I always get this:
On the side of my rib cage where my heart is it hurts like 20 times a day for 1-2 seconds sometimes 3 seconds. This gets me very anxious thus causing more fears. I am growing my parents say it can be because your rib cage is getting larger im 5'6" 105 pounds. Skinny and tall basically. Could a professional or anyone who has experienced this for like as long as me which is 2 months respond .

Thank You,
I appreciate it

I started working out after taking this fall and winter off. Now I have pain in my back below my right shoulder blade and near my backbone. It doesn't really hurt when I am working out, but it hurts later on when I am doing nothing or when I lift a light object. Also, when I do situps, when I am lowering myself to the floor, it feels like my back is not coming down straight, but kind of to one side. Is this a misalignment problem or something else. When I quit exercising for a week or two, it seems to go away.
