I have had sex sence my last period but I had it the day after my period ended but now my period is 10 days overdue and i am too scared to do anything about it.

It doesn't matter what phase of your menstrual cycle you are in - you can get pregnant at any time - except when you have not started your period ever or your period has completely gone away with menopause. There is a myth out there that says you can only get pregnant 2 weeks after or before your period. That's wrong, but it is true that most women ovulate approximately 2 weeks before or after their period - they typically have 3-5 days when they ovulate and become very fertile - high risk of pregnancy. This is just an estimation or general way pregenancy unfolds but it is definitely not pure science. I have known women to get pregnant when they had sex only during their periods or several days after their period. So yes, there is a chance of your being pregnant; however; the more you stress out about it the more likely your being late is related to your anxiety. To find some resolve I would suggest getting an over the counter pregnancy test (tends to be very accurate) and then repeat a day or so later. If the results are positive then you need to get it confirmed by a physician. Then you can decide what you need to do from that point on.

1. Start using birth control (condoms, the pill, dep-provera, sponges, spermicidal lubricant) anything
2. Practice safe sex (see condoms above)
3. Get a pregnancy test ... they're about 5$ at walmart and you can even pee on it in the walmart bathroom
4. Don't be scared
5. Check with your local "Planned Parenthood"

Ah put simply - YES!! Sperm can last 3-4days in your vagina before it reaches your overies. Hence bringing you smack bang at the begining of your ovulation cycle. Sooner you do the test the sooner you will know. And the sooner you will be able to make appropiate choices for yourself and your life. All the best.

Yes, you can be pregnant. Get a test at the store. It is the same type test done in the dr's ofice and they are usually very accurate.

P.S. the only sure way to not get pregnant is to not have sex.
