I haven't been smoking cigarettes for 2 days now and I woke up this morning (2nd day) and my cheeks and tongue are senstive and sore. Is this a side effect of not smoking? or something more serious? I don't drink a lot of water and my diet is mostly fast food.

Do you ever feel like you are standing in the middle of an overcrowded room screaming and falling at their feet and no-one even looks up. All you want is for one person to notice, to pick you up and to hold you and take all the pain away but no-one can. So you choke on your own pain and tears and screams until there is nothing left. Until you are empty and dead inside.

I haven't been smoking for 2 days so far and when I woke up this morning my mouth was sore. My cheeks and my tongue are raw and sensitive. Is this a usual side effect from not smoking, or do you think it has more to do with the foods I'm eating? I eat what every one else does....cheeseburgers and burritos!

Like many celebrites have said when they had acne they tried everything. I too have tried about everything: clearasil ultra, oxy, neutrogena pads, neutrogena clear pore mask, neutrogena oil free face wash, zapzit, Acnefree 3 step system, and the acnefree scar fade and erase.. I do want to try proactiv but I have heard bad and good things about it. But like many celebrities I have tried lots of stuff, and once they tried proactiv it worked.. But there is so much stuff by proativ, like the regular 3 step system, and now 4 step systems, and 5 step systems, those are new, but at the time when jessica simpson tried it there was only the 3 step system, and that helped her alot.. and it comes with the refining mask... so should i try the 3 step system?? people who do use it, will you please tell me how it works for you, and the price range for it, and how long it lasts??

I'm due to have an operation on my ankle to repair the igaments. However, I can't sleep because of the burning sensation on my foot and the physiotherapist, the doctor and the surgeon all nod their heads but seem to think there's nothing to be done about it. Does anyone have a solution? Thanks.

I'm glad i'm writing this anonmosly and i guess it's a question for the gynacologists out there but i just thought i'd throw the question out there wishing for some ease of mind. The scenario goes like this we use protection (comdoms ) and recently she has started taking the pill, we have never noticed any of this ''Skin'' on the condoms before after sex but yesterday we did? now were kind of worried it might be cervical cancer or worse. who knows perhaps it was just the latex comdom loosing the spermicide and lubricant which then started to cause friction and thus the ''skin''. Any input on this would be good. Thanks

Okay. So I have a hair caught in my throat.
At first I thought I just had a bad cough or some illness, but it's persisted several days now, and I'm quite certain that it's a hair.
I've tried drinking hot liquid, but that doesn't work, and I also tried to reach in with my finger and snatch it out. That also failed.
So does anyone know what to do? Has anybody out there suffered the same terrible fate?

HELP!!!

My son will not.. Do his homework when I tell him to only on his own or take shower or brush his teeth when I tell him but if I don't tell him he will do it eventually.. If anyone tells him what to do he will not do it is there a disorder he may have? So we can get this fixed.

Think about it for a second before you answer... wouldn't they be too afraid of even making an appointment with someone or talking to a doctor about it to tell them what's going on? I mean, I'm terrified of talking to anyone, so I don't know, maybe I have social anxiety disorder, but "anyone" includes doctors and everything, so there's no way in hell I could ever work up the nerve to actually tell anyone that in real life. I can't even deal with calling a friend on the phone to ask about a homework assignment, let alone a complete stranger to make an appointment to talk about something that's actually embarassing! So what I don't get is how anyone can actually be diagnosed with social anxiety disorder, cause it seems to me that if they made it as far as being diagnosed then the probably don't have it.

Does every ortho make you wear a PERMANENT glued in retainer for the rest of your life on your bottom row of teeth if you had braces there? Because the ortho in my town has that as his "specialty". And also, why do you think he does?

It is only on my left leg, and has gotten so bad that it has moved all the way up almost to the knee. Could it have something to do with water retention, or being on my feet too much? Have you ever had this problem. I have to get on antibiotics. I have had it 4 times this summer.
