i have never been that confident ever since my fiance dumped me 6 yrs ago for his ex girlfreind and married her 2 months later as a result of this an bullying at school i have very low self esteem and freak and worry if someone doesnt communicate or respond for a while thinking ive done something wrong or upset them ........ this is also affecting me and my romantic relationships with men.......er.... Ok here's the thing; I liked a guy who worked at a sporting goods store; he was the manager there; we used to flirt alot and what not; he would give me discounts on my purchases. So one day I decided that I wanted to get to know him better. I gave him my number and hoped he would call. He made the excuse that becuase school would be starting (this was during the summer) that he wouldn't be able to call me until the frenzy subsided. That was two months ago.

I saw him again and this time he seemed cold towards me. I haven't seen him since the time I gave him my number. I mean, when it was time to check out, he goes "the cashier would be right with you".

I was like wtf? The store wasn't even that busy first of all. Sighing, I put the stuff back and left the store, vowing to never to return. So how do I bounce back from this foolish thing call "a crush only to be rejected"?

Ok.. i'm 18 years old and well past puberty. in the past few months i've had really smelly armpits. i shower 2 times a day usually and use a sented anti perspirent. they still smell though, i don't sweat a lot. i shave my armpits every day.... life has been insanely stressful the past 2 months. could that be causing it? no one else notices the smell, but i do and am becoming very self conscious about it all. any remidies or explainations would be greatly appreciated:)

I Had sex on august 31 i had PROTECTED Sex and 2-3 weeks after i started to have this uncomfotable feeling in my penis but now that gone but sometimes i comes back for a minute but it was mild it didnt hurt me or nothing. And this week my pelvic was hurting but its gone now and now my whole neck is sore including my throat area.i dont believe anything is swollen because it still looks the same nothing swollen its mild but its making me think i have hiv and that what im scared about. Could This Be Hiv? And How do you know if your lymp nodes or glands are swollen could you see it Someone Help Please? i went to the doctor and he just checked my pelvic asked if i had sex and told me to do a urine sample and said he wanted to see me this week.

I need some advice from ppl with ADD/ADHD. My brothers daughter has ADD and we are curios to know what its like considering she was just diagnossed yesterday. Her doctor and my brother are debating the meds. Are the side effects to Ritalin,ect. really as bad as they say? What medication would be the safest and most effective? She is a girl age 12.

My doctor told me yesterday that I would lose sight in my eye real soon, and when I do it will be like a black curtain falling at once. He said there was a gel like blob forming over my eye which as I understand it, hardens and causes the retina to completly detach from the nerves. Wouldn't you think that if it was as bad as he made it out to be that he could have performed some type of corrective surgery right then, or set me up to come back for surgery? I'm not feeling real good about his diagnosis, and am considering seeing someone else for another opinion. Just wanted your take on this. Serious answers only. Thanks

My teen daughter has been acting very sad and depressed lately. Everything makes her upset, she seems to cry for no reason, and has very low energy. She's a swimmer and it's been effecting her desire to swim. I want to keep her busy with something new along with her normal swimming routine. Anyone suggest any hobbies that aren't too time consuming considering the fact that she's a student?

I had another question about how to stopped the bleeding on an extracted tooth, but now I ask: How often should I change the gauze?

Some have said wait 30min, check to see if it's still bleeding, if so, place a new gauze on it and re-do. Others have said an hour, some have said 4. One dentist even said you don't need to change it unless it becomes soaked in blood. (which I thought would be a leading cause of infections...)

I ask, what time limit to check and change is the best to promote clotting? When is it time to remove the gauze and just not wear it anymore?

My other tooth healed right away, such as when I removed the gauze there was some dried blood, but nothing fresh, so I left it uncovered and it's been fine since. But -this- tooth socket is just so... ARGH frustrating.

Recently a very close friend of mine turned 40. At this age, it is recommended that women go for mamograms and so she went for a routine one.

They found a 4cm highly calcified nodule which they defined as highly suspicious. Cancer is in their family history.

Obviously a diagnosis cannot be made without a biopsy which she is scheduled to undertake in about a week or so. Needless to say, she is fearing the worst.

What I'm wondering is if there are any charts that show relationships between nodule size and probability of a positive breast cancer diagnosis?

sometimes when it is cold inside or outside i will get nose freeze. The inside of my nose gets very cold just like brain freeze. It's very annoying and uncomfortable. It will last for like 10 seconds and it gets so cold that my eyes get red and begin to run and my face gets red as well. What is this? Is it normal?
