There are many ways to drown one's own sorrows. A hobby like in the arts (such as myself), exercising, musical therapy (it REALLY works, just put on the radio or a favorite cd), talk to someone you know, getting involved with things in your area, go to a park, go to a movie, get your mind off it. If you don't get your mind off it, it will only lead to more confusion, problems, and more sorrows.

Get involved with something to keep you from dwelling on what's wrong. It's pretty easy to fall into the trap of wanting to feel bad when everything is going wrong. It can also be difficult to get motivated to do anything but just sit around and think about whatever is bothering you. Get some motivation, get out and try to do something. Call up some friends, go to a movie, go find a good book to get into. Some of these things might seem to be only a temporary cure, but they keep you from falling into a rut that only gets more difficult for you to get out of.

Try going for a long run. Food will just make you put on weight. Alcohol will just dehydrate your body. A long run will make you focused on wanting oxygen and water. Therefore pulling you away from the problem mentaly and physically. It will help with clearing your mind before you make a decision on how to handle the problem. Remember to respond to the problem with reason and logic. Not merely impulse of emotion.

I never just "forget" my problems, I deal with stress. Working out, reading, studying, listening to music, are all good stress relievers. Remember, no problem is ever a "problem" unless you make it one.

there are many ways to get a temporary fixer upper to dull the pain of the moment but theyll still be there when youre done...use them to make you stronger...face them head on dont try and deal with too much at once..deal with what you can and then say to yourself...there i dealt with something i didnt think i could...you'll feel much better at coping with the rest then,lol...if all else fails i resort to chocolate, dancing, singing, sex and a few of my fave dark rums ...maybe a walk in nature too...clear the cobwebs,lol...hope youre not too down, chin up...;0)

i stop looking back at the past and focus more on my future and how i will work to make it better. I spend as much time with friends as possible to get my mind off of things. Whatever you're going through, i hope it gets better. You deserve to be happy, hun.
