If you've got green discharge coming out of your eye, crust on the eye making it difficult to open in the morning, and of course the telltale pink coloration then make an appt with the doctor, you'll not only need antibiotics to clear it up, but you're contagious as well.

People will disagree with this, but it works, and sometimes people can't afford to go to the doctor. I've used it several times, after a great deal of research, to treat pinkeye in my kids when we couldn't go to a doc.
Get a brand new tube of triple antibiotic ointment (not cream!). Use brand new Q-tips from a newly opened box to apply a small dab in each eye, after thoroughly washing your hands. Flush the Q-tips and wash your hands again. Keep the ointment and the Q-Tips in a clean, dry place between uses.
If there's no improvement after three days, you'll have to see a doc, I'm afraid. Triple antibiotic contains the same drugs used in prescription eye drops for pinkeye, in Vaseline. Vaseline is yukky, but won't hurt your eye. Just dab it off as it melts, and flush the tissue. Wash your hands again.

No... At least not without CALLING the vet. Some chemicals are really detrimental to non-human animals. I don't think you can get over the counter drops for conjunctivitis, you need an antibiotic. There are products for dry eye and irritation, but not for an eye infection like "pink eye". You need to at the least call your vet. P.S. I think you mean canine, not feline. Meow.

Conjunctivitis (Pink Eye) may require antibiotic eye drops. Once you get rid of it , clean your eyelashes daily by putting Johnson & Johnson Baby Shampoo on the edge of a wash cloth and with your eyes closed, clean from the nose out. Change pillow cases often and keep them covered when not in use.

I'm not sure there is one, you need an antibiotic eye drop, RX only so go see your eye doctor ! A general family doctor can probaly help you as well. Oh and resist the urge to rub your eye etc. it could spread to the other eye or someone else !

Go to your local pharmacy and ask the pharmacist.
He is more reliable than anybody here to recommend an over the counter med.
