I'll be buying a weight lifting machine soon to increase my muscles capacity and I just a query in relation to the exercise itself. I know that when you one of the machines it develops muscles but, can you actually lose weight using just the weight lifting machine? Is the fat on the body lost or is it just converted into muscle? I apreciate the helps.

I suffer from haemochromatosis - excess iron in the blood - which can/does cause all sorts of ailments, pains, sexual dysfunction, liver problems, depression, palpitations etc etc etc. Some suffer many ailments, some a few. It is more common than we are lead to believe & if treated early - one can lead a full/normal life.

Are there other haemochromatosis sufferers out there who visit 'ask' ?

I know this might seem Fatty-ist, but please bear with me for a few moments and you might see where I'm coming from:

1) Airlines calculate the fuel requirement based on the weight of passengers and luggage - therefore heavier passengers mean more fuel is needed.

2) Larger passengers need more space (for obvious reasons), so in the same flight less passengers could be fitted in, which means less profit for the Airline.

Yet, despite these two points, plane tickets cost us the same whether we weigh 8st or 20st - how is that fair. (You wouldn't pay the same postage fee for a large or small parcel, so what's different for people?)

I know it wouldn't go down well with heavier people, but surely some kind of scale (pardon the pun) would be fairer for everyone?

(This proposal would also have the benefit of helping the current obesity problem by adding in a financial incentive as well......we could even do the same for Taxis, Trains, and then there's the environmental impact....

Each time I use the toilet, my *** itches a lot. After I wipe. It started after using some Charmin tissue about 8 months ago. I have to shower or wet the tissue to clean thouroughly. W?hat causes this?

My dad is 77 and started taking celexa 4 days ago. mom called and said that he started acting crazy yesterday. talking crazy and not making scence. He does have medical problems, like Multiple Myeloma and he takes Thalomid for it and a whole slew of other pills. steroids, protonix,hydrocodone, lasix and others i dont remember the name of.

I was in an accident outside of work.. lead to short term disability.. lost my position at work was doing clerical - inventory control and some shipping- etc.. .. Company placed me into another job- doctor gave me a light duty release and I worked 1 day then they asked me for my papers and I gave them the doctor's slip they sent me home told me they have no light duty...
What do I do if and when my short term disablity runs out and they won't let me come back if its still light duty.. I had surgery rotator cuff...
