Is it true that if you leave the house with wet hair, and it is cold out, you can get arthritis in your neck?? Or is this an old tale.

It is an old folk tale. Even the silly idea of a chill bringing on a cold is pretty ridiculous. These problems require other agents...i.e. virus in the case of a cold. Arthritis is an inflammation of joints and may be cause by aging, injury, calcium deposits or problems with the discs (sort of shock absorbers between the bones of the spine). It is true however that heat will help relieve the pain but it is because of muscle relaxation.

I once read a novel called "Why do men Have Nipples" the novel is filled with random questions and answers to them. In the book it said that there is no direct link between cracking your knuckles and arthritis so i would think that its the same with your back and neck, however, I could be wrong.
