Sounds like something, such as a life event, changed your way of thinking...or brought out an underlying condition that has been hiden all along. See a psychologist for some good talk therapy to get to the bottom of it. Most are covered on your insurance plan. Good luck!

what you need to realise is that you cant please all of the people all of the time, it wont happen.
I had a friend who lied all the time about stupid things, everything really. I would think it was me who wasn't listening to her too well, so I made a point of really listening to her when she talked to see if it was me or not. turned out to be her, she could be in a room with different people and would tell a different story to every time. it was sad, I talked to her about it and she just blew me off like it was my problem.... notice I said I 'had' a friend.... dangerous to have someone like that in your life you never know what they will say about you....
You should probably go see a doctor to see if they can help you, I just know that it is no fun being friends with someone whom you cannot trust and I no longer talk to her at all, she knows why and I made the desision that as her friend it wasnt worth all the pain she had caused me with all the lies, it was so bad people thought maybe I was lying, see what I mean it hurts, so try and get hlep before you end up alone. I'm sure you can be helped, the first step is admitting you have a problem. Good luck!

Well i think your focusing too much on everyone else, the world sometimes needs to evolve around you. Stop trying to please everyone, because everyone has a different feeling about things, and trust me you will never please everyone.
It sounds as if you want to fit in with the crowd, don't, it will only make you stress more, be yourself, others will admire you no matter what, even if you say no, if they are your true friends they will respect your decision.
