The site below has a table to estimate calories burned swimming. If you hold everything else constant, you will lose about one pound for every 3500 calories expended in exercise.

As long as you do a healthy 3 meals a day. No eating after 8pm. You definitely will help your body lose weight with the swimming

Possibly. Swimming is good for your body in losing weight and especially in strength training/resistance. You would need a trainer to answer you specifically based on what kind of swimming you are doing, your bmi and body structure. EIther way, it would definately contribute to your overall health.

Swimming is a great all-body cardio vascular exercise. In any case, since it works all major muscle groups, bear in mind that, in the long run, you may loose fat, but gain muscle... and muscle weights more than fat, thus you may have less body volume, but approximately the same weight.

Swimming is a great exercise for the whole body and if you watch your diet,then yes,you will lose weight.You should eat healthy(fruits and vegetables,no salty foods,no soda drinks,no junk food).

Well,if combined with a nutritious low calorie diet and swim CORRECTLY then yes!If you're just floating around and being lazy,drink beers with your buddies after your swim and eat junk then NO!

Absolutely. Swimming is fantastic cardivascular workout. Gets your heart rate up and, by extension, burns calories.

yes, it could, depending on what your eating and drinking along with it. If your on low cal, then yes, it should be of help. Swimming uses all of the muscles.
