First use tea tree oil and nit comb through while the oil is in, then Tea tree shampoo and conditioner, the little blighthers dont like the smell of it but you need to use it all the time to stop them coming back once you got rid. Cheap in tesco's. good luck x x

Hi, I noticed that there is a new product just been released for sale in Boots that doesn't require combing. The drawback is that I can't for the life of me remember the name! It's advertised on TV but I only saw it briefly last night.
The other thing I suggest may be more helpful is to visit www.nitmix.com They have advice and natural remedies for dealing with the little blighters!

Lots of conditioner and a lice comb, you just have to keep at it.

I've also heard that neem oil is bad for headlice but no personal experience. It does seem to be a problem that is increasing....

Alternative treatments containing essential oils (including tea tree), herbal extracts or homeopathic tinctures. There is no scientific evidence to show these work, but some people find them helpful. It is worth bearing in mind that natural chemicals, such as tea tree oil, can cause side-effects, such as scalp irritation.

tea tree is very good & you can purchase an electronic nit comb - i think it is called a 'billie/bobbie' come. You use it like any other nit comb but it has an ultra sensitive (?) sonic sound coming from it that kills them. Its a bit pricey but worth it

Submerse the head in water for as long as poss - try snorkling in the bath! They'll all drown, or move to another place where you can extract them.
