I have a boil about the size of a quarter. Its on my RUE. I have had it for about 10 days, It became painful, so I stuck a 22 guage needle in it in 2 places and pushed about 5cc puss and blood out of the 2 holes. It hurts. I have been putting the hottest water I can stand on it in the shower and watching it. I have warm flushed skin about 2 inches around this thing. I have some old Keflex from a really bad throat infection about a year ago. Is this a good antibiotic to use? Should I just go to the doctor and spend $30 bucks or wait it out?
PS: I am a RN in a hospital , so any advice would be appreciated.

I skated & did karate when I was younger and my legs are really paying for it. I run & surf and am in okay shape but my legs are really muscular and even though I'm 5'6" I always feel short & stubby because they are so big. Are there any excersises that I can do to make them leaner and longer?

I had my short leg walking cast removed today. The orthopedic doctor didnt give me any exercises or anything to do to get my foot/ankle/calf muscles back into shape. They are so sore. It hurts so bad to walk on it.I know it will be stiff for a while. How can I help it so it isnt so stiff? Thanks!

I have 4 kids. 2 natural birth 2 c-sections. Youngest is 3 1/2. after she was born my uterus walls were enlarged and I had a cyst that popped. I had a thermal balloon abrasion & tubes tied. I am bloated in pain (my sides), lower back is killing me, slight fever, and just plain old crappy. Went to the ER (DR out of town) they did a cat scan, blood work & pelvic and said go to DR ASAP. any ideas if this is a cyst or what this could be. I'm at a loss. ??????

I get headaches every two weeks. It starts in the back of my neck then goes to my forehead and lasts for 1 to 2 days. I think this is a tension headache but I am not sure. Everytime I go to the doctors with an injury of a sprain or strain he gives me prevenative medicine such as exercises and Ice or hot packs and things for me to wear such as a sleave for tennis elbow. Do you think that it is right for this doctor to give out prevenative medicine to all his patients and to me every time he sees a patient. Any Advice from health experts or people with this experience?

I'm 25 and my fiance and I have already decided we don't want kids. (I've never wanted kids in my entire life and if for some miracle I want one I would adopt.) I've been on birth control for years and I'm ready to get something more permanent. Has anyone had the essure procedure done? I'm interested b/c its non-surgical.
