Ignore the pic, it'll be removed soon enough. I'm in a Hampton Inn.

It depends on where you are staying. The city I live in used to have really putrid water; now it's almost drinkable. Atlanta has scary water, but DeKalb County, next to Atlanta has really good water. So it really depends, in part, on where the water comes from. Hampton Inn is usually pretty safe, beyond that.

That depends where the hotel is. For example, if it is in New York City, their tap water is considered very good. In Russia Mexico or India, if you drink the tap water you are almost guaranteed to get sick. Find a website for where you are going to find out the quality of the water. If in doubt, buy bottled water to drink or even bring some with you.

As safe to drink as any public water system I suppose. A lot of it depends on where you are.
In the states, if it's a public water system then the water is tested and monitored on a regular basis. If it's coming from a well system then the well is supposed to be tested on a regular basis also because it would be considered a public water system.

Idk, but this one place I went to (to use the restroom on vacation) I looked up above the sink and there was this sign with a big X that said, DO NOT DRINK WATER OR USE WATER FOR ANYTHING! That kinda freaked me out.
