Shame on your ER doc for not explaining better. Call the ER you went to, and ask to speak to the triage nurse, and tell her you do not understand your diagnosis, and she will be able to help you.
If it had been very serious, they would have immediately admitted you to hospital; but with an infection, I wonder why they did not at least start you on antibiotics. In any case, the only way to get more, and accurate, information is to call back to the ER. Any speculations you get here can only be just that, speculations. Far better to find out exactly, not?

When you have one cyst, you probably will have another.
You have a slight fever?
So either you have mild irritation from the blood from the cyst that burst, or you have a kidney stone, or UTI.
Sounds more like UTI or Kidney Stone.
Does the pain radiate from either side to the middle of your abdomen?
Demand that you get the results of the Cat scan.
Why didn't they give you antibiotics.
Go back to a different ER, and get some treatment.

Sounds like you have an infection and maybe even a abscess, which can cause all those syptoms. But you need to go to the Dr. to make sure. It can be easily healed with the right meds. But left untreated will only get much worse. Good Luck.

The ER would have treated it if were something acute i.e. infection etc. They obviously saw something in your blood work and cat scan that they can't treat immediately. I would not sit around thinking about it. I'd call my Dr. tomorrow. They should have just ben honest and given you some indication though. It's sad they're making you wait.

It could be highly possible that you have an infection and require more antibiotics. The emergency room must have had some idea what was wrong, they didn't give any more of a diagnosis than to see your own doctor? I think I would return to a different emergency room and demand more from them.

Don't know, but if they said go to the doctor, go to the doctor. They probably didn't like the look of the tests they did. One thought could be a tubal pregnancy or pregnancy outside where it's supposed to be (I know that your tubes were tied, but it is possible). Could be another cyst. Who knows. I'd go to the doctor ASAP, like they said. Better to know than to put it off. Good luck!

The cyst could be cancerous. I would be careful because it sounds like you have some serious issues going on inside. Hopefully the cyst is non-cancerous and medication can make you feel better.

Hi
It sounds like maybe you have a kidney infection. Those were the symptom I had I was also nauseous. It would seem like they would have put you on antibiotics though. I would call the ER back and ask them what the findings of the test were.

See your Doctor or go to another Hospital Emergency Room if you are any where near Cleveland OH, I would suggest go to the Cleveland Clinic.

My God how come they let you go back home and didn't
admit you or started treating you? You have to go back to emerge and tell them you're doc is out of town and you can't stand it anymore.
Go to another hospital or urgent care clinic ASAP
Good Luck and Get Well
